“Beautiful hotel - will be back!”

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and would highly recommend. Incredibly good value for Venice and as well as that a brilliant location just minutes from Rialto and St Marks. Our room (316) was in the main building and was just gorgeous. Decorated in typical Venetian style with beautiful furniture it was roomy and clean and we just loved it. Bathroom as opposed to the old fashioned bedroom was very modern. Shower cubicle was big for a hotel, bathroom lovely and clean and bright. Perfect room all round. Had breakfast served in our room at no extra cost which was great as everywhere I have ever stayed has charged for this. Not a massive selection to chose from when having breakfast in the room but it filled a hole! Would suggest this place without a doubt and would definitely stay again.
Little tip for venice - although St Marks is amazing - take a visit to Santa Maria Della Salute, literally took my breathe away, wasnt filled with hoards and hoards of tourists, didnt charge any kind of fee (as per St Marks) and wasnt quite as tacky! Blew me away!

“good base near san marco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2011

We stayed for 3 nights and everything went well despite what I have read from the reviews. We made sure our room was in the main building and it was so. The room was spacious, room decor was typical venetian and the bathroom was modern. We compared the room with another chain hotel nearby with a higher rate and we felt our room was better and we were happy with our choice.
Breakfast was simple but adequate. The staffs at the front desk were friendly, checking in and out were easy, we couldn't find any fault with our stay. It was near Plaza San Marco and many shops and restaurants around. It was a good base to explore around even at night.

“Terrible, Dirty and Scary”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2011

I spent two nights with my wife in this awful and disgusting place. We arrived late in the night (01:00 am) with almost 60kg of luggage. At the moment of our checkin we were informed that the room is not in the hotel but in some kind of anex. That anex is a kind of old building placed in a scary and dark street without any security. I had to climb up to the 4th floor (no lift) carring all of the luggage over a small, bizzare, dirty and long stair. The room was even worst. Dirty, phone not working, water very cold or hot and a very old tv.

For almost 140 euros per night I surely expected something better. It was the worst experience with a hotel in my life.

Please run away of this place!

“Authentic Venetian hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 May 2011 via mobile

Just got back from a 2 night stay in Venice this morning. I stayed at Hotel Torino, although it was tricky to find (isn't everything in Venice?), this hotel was absolutely charming.

Very well located with shopping, designer boutiques (Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Miu Miu etc) pretty canal, restaurants literally on the doorstep.

We had a room in the annex, which had a lovely terrace. Bathroom was modern, but the rest of the room was traditionally venetian, with painted furniture and fabric wallcoverings. Not my usual taste, but it certainly suited the surroundings, and was clean. Would definitely stay again.

“Have stayed in better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2011

We had the "honeymoon Suite" with a large canopy bed. The room was a little dark, and a bit dirty. I dropped something on the floor and it rolled under the bed, when i looked under it was disgusting. The shower was VERY hot, to the point of being scoulding.
An ok hotel, have stayed in worse but have also stayed in better.
