“Great hotel in great location!”

We stayed in this hotel with our two young children for 3 nights. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Venice with Rialto bridge a few minutes walk away and the water bus stop very close by.
The room we had slept 4 and was spacious and luxuriously decorated. Bathroom was lovely and clean too! Reception were always very nice. Only downsides was the breakfast was quite limited in choice but still fresh for what was there. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!

“Travel companion was terrible but the room made up for it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

This is a very unique hotel in an ideal location. Small, private and full of character...we stayed in a "superior deluxe" room which had a tall ceiling, the bed in the mezzanine and a pull out sofa and desk. The furnishings and decor were not fresh and new...but fit well with the style and location - a sort of suedo-renaissance look with jacquard tapestry and flecks of gold. It felt like being in past it's prime palazzo which is exactly what it was! And with it's lovely location in front of a small canal and curved bridge, it really was romantic and fun. the breakfast is average but who cares? The dining room was a gilt masterpiece and the staff was lovely. We visited with friends staying closer to San Marco and their room was half the size and nearly twice the price. Go for it...you won't be disappointed. I love trying out new places but if I go to Venice again, I'll stay here. It ticked all the boxes and really did transport me in time.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, tell the front desk. In such a prime location, it's not that eas...

“Excellent Hotel, superb location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We were looking for a good quality hotel, with a luxury interior and good location for our honeymoon. This hotel was exactly what we wanted. Staff were extremely friendly, superb location with everything within 10 mins walk. The room was very well equiped, bit querky with quality fittings. The breakfast was fine, not brillant but set us up for the day. 10/10
We had a 'Superior DeLuxe' room which was split level.

Room Tip: Apparently the rooms at the front are noisy with people always walking past into the night.

“Charm & Character”

Well located property, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had a large room with a balcony facing Campo SS Apostoli and could watch gondolas beneath us and people streaming over the quaint bridge adjacent to the hotel.A short walk to Rialto bridge and St Marks. Plenty of small eateries and good shopping in nearby alleys which were great to explore. If there was a downside it was the breakfast which was not very appetising. Selected staff were very helpful and you soon worked out who to go to for help. Made our stay in Venice very enjoyable.

Room Tip: The large room over the canal with the balcony was great but there was a degree of noise at night as...

“a very charming,romantic,so Venice hotel!”

At first it is very easy to find it ,very close to San Marco and all the major attractions in Venice. The vaporeto station is less than 5 minitues walk from it.Very helpful staff, the room is big considering that most of the hotel there have very small rooms, the bathroom was also super, the furnitures were all antiques,we felt like we were living in the Venice of the 18 century,a very warm hotel with great breakfast in a fantastic room. There was no elevator but it was no problem as the whole atmosphear of the hotel was amazing. If I'll visit Venice again I'll definately choose to stay to Antico Dodge.
As for the price it was a little more than other hotels in other countries but I believe in Venice all the hotels more or less are a little more expensive,it surely worth it!
