“A great option for visiting Venice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011 via mobile

Stayed here in December 2011 after getting a great deal for 4 nights online. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms clean and some really nice shops and restaurants in the area. If you're staying for a few days then make sure you buy a travel card for the vaporetto as it works out much cheaper!

Can't say anything bad about this hotel at all, I would say though that they do not have an iron so take a travel one with you! (and let them know if you're staying out until the early hours of the morning as the reception does close and you may have to wake somebody up...oops we are sorry!!)

I will be recommending this hotel to anyone who wants to see Venice but avoid the overpriced side of things.

“Ok, too far from Venice”

Nothing special, a quiet hotel half way up the main road in Lido (none of the locals seem to be able to give good direction to it though). We stayed in a double room for €50 a night, nice big rooms with en suite and it’s a 2 min walk from the local supermarket (not that they have a kitchen for you to use) you can however pay an additional €5 per person for the breakfast which we chose to pass on. Overall it was a pleasant stay but the hotel lacks personality, you also have to take into consideration that will have to pay $6.50 for the water bus into Venice everyday (or buy a 3 or 5 day water bus pass for around €30 to €50)

“Decent location, nothing special though”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

I think a lot of your opinion of this hotel will be determined by whether you had a room facing the street or not. We did and did not have the best stay here. The room was really warm, even with the provided fan, and we couldn't close the windows at all, due to the heat, allowing the streetlights (which are pointed up for some reason) to illuminate the room something fierce.

The location was good, with Lido being a much more inexpensive option than Venice (with better priced restaurants), but only a short ferry ride away. Also a short walk to the beach in the other direction.

The hotel was clean and had good WiFi in the lobby.

PS. try the restaurant almost below the Hotel, great food at decent prices.

We would probably stay there again, but this hotel is definitely better in the cooler months.

Room Tip: definitely avoid the street side rooms!

“Nice place, very friendly”

I read other reviews on this place which suggested basic. Indeed it is but I found staying here a really nice experience. Very clean room at the back of the hotel not overlooking the Santa Maria Elisabetta was super quiet. I enjoyed the free wireless downstairs in the lobby area. No A/C but a large fan in the room made things just fine. All of the staff I encountered were personable and friendly. I would definitely go back as with anywhere you are made to feel welcome you tend to remember.

Room Tip: The Reiter does not offer breakfast however on Santa Maria Elisabetta there is plenty of place to si...

“Just brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

We stayed at Reiter for the period of Mostra and were ready to modest conditions as all hotels on Lido are overcrowded and the options were very much limited. Reiter was the modest one but it happened to be brilliant! Medically clean (the cleaning ladies are very careful, i really do not clean my apartment like they cleaned my Reiter room, and i am a hygiene maniac!), with helpful staff and HOT FRESH CROISSANTS in the morning. Prior to our trip I read the review about bed bugs in Reiter. Those people who wrote that, are probably crazy... Just one note: if you can not stand sound pollution, ask for the room onto the yard, our room windows were onto the main street of Lido and it's really noisy.
