“Very Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

We had a 4 day stay in Italy and I stayed at this hotel based on a friends recommendation. The hotel room was nice and large - much like the American/Australian hotels that you would be used to. Right across the road from the water ferries and a short walk to a small supermarket for your supplies. A good variety of breakfast in the morning which always starts your day off really well! Overall a nice place to stay.

“Great value in Venice Lido”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

This was an excellent hotel and the most reasonable price. In our month long Europe trip, this was by far the best value for our money ... the best splurge for our trip of mostly B&B's and pensions. It is nicely located on Lido right across the street from the water taxi stop. The view from our room with it's almost floor to ceiling windows was spectacular. The bathroom was standard size for European hotels, but well maintained with more fantatstic windows. The room however, was large, very comfortable and uniquely furnished with antique style wardrobe, tables and chairs. A main feature was also the a/c as our stay was during a very warm week. Our double room had an extra single bed that worked well for clothing storage. There was a fantastic balcony with tables & chairs at the end of our hallway that overlooked the harbour and gave the best view back to Venice. Lido is a great location for those who want to be a little further away from the business of Venice, but also offers great restaurants and beaches. For us, the location was ideal and the view was beyond expectations. We only breakfast at the hotel which was included and a step above most standard European breakfasts. Coffee was excellent, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, buns and other standard breakfast fare was great. There are several well priced pizzeria restaurants nearby as well to keep the budget on track. A day tour of Murano and then Burano made for a wonderful sunset cruise back to Lido. This was a wonderful honeymood location!

“A little Haunting?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

I was traveling with a bunch of friends around Italy, we stayed in this hotel July 17-19. Short visit. All of it was great, my friend and I had a big room (for Europe) and it was on the one of the lower floors, maybe 3rd or 4th. Everything was great and the staff was very friendly. The only complaint i would have is that I was waiting for my friend to take a shower so we could join everyone else for breakfast. So i was waiting on her bed and I could hear her "singing" in the shower. Then, the bathroom doorknob started to turn, tried to get like...yanked open, then whatever it was let go and the doorknob snapped back. I asked Aryhanna if she had tried to open the door the second after it had happened and she said no. I was a little thrown off by the experience, because the night before i heard our windows open and then slam shut, I got up and then closed them and went back asleep thinking nothing of it. Then in the morning the latch was broken and the windows were open again. Me being a teenage girl I think this was a cool experience but I also wanted to know if any of y'all have experienced this as well?

Room Tip: Go on a higher floor ;) for a better view on the left or right side (:

“Stylish Hotel with lots of character”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

I have stayed there many times. The rooms are nicely furnished with antiques. The breakfast is very good ( hot and cold), the location is great, right across from the Vaporetto Pier.Reception is manned with very friendly multy lingual personnel. Service is outstandig.

Room Tip: All rooms overlocking the lagoon and Saint Marc's Square are very nice.

“Great view of the city, great breakfast.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

I stayed here with two friends in October 2010 for three nights. The room was clean, but per usual the bathroom was pretty small. You'll have to take a water taxi over to the hotel, which can be a pain if you have a lot of luggage, but the price makes up for that. Others have said it was expensive, but relative to other hotels in the Venice area it was cheaper. Since it's an island right off the mainland of Venice, you have a beautiful view of the city at night. Would stay here again.
