“Comfortable and Convenient”

My family and I stayed here on our latest trip to Venice. We had two spacious lovely rooms with views of the tiny canal that runs next to the hotel. Since it was late November, it was very cold, but the hotel was always warm and cozy. The beds are the best we have ever experienced in Venice. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel bar was a good place to end a cold day of sightseeing with warm drinks. We used a water taxi to get from the airport to the hotel as there is a dock in front of the hotel entrance, but during our stay we discovered that the Piazzale Roma (with it's taxi stand) was a very short distance from the hotel. There is only one bridge with very shallow steps on the short walk to Piazzale Roma, so it was easy to get our luggage from the hotel to the taxi stand. The water taxi, and vaporetto docks are a long walk from the airport terminal, but a taxi was able to drop us off right at the entrance to the airport. This was a godsend for me and my bad knees. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We always choose a deluxe room, as we like to have more space.

“Fantastic hotel”

This is just an amazing little boutique hotel. Lovely common areas, exquisite rooms, and good location if you're coming in by train or car, because it is close to the train station. Venice is such a walking city, that it was fun to take off from the hotel and wind around to the other end.

Food was a little stilted and not worth the price. They tried to be chi-chi, but again, not worth it. The breakfast, however, is UNREAL!! Beautiful little dining area and just an unforgettable breakfast to start your day. You will feel very pampered.

Room Tip: I don't have suggestion on getting a good room, because ours was so awesome. Furnishings were li...

“Great Hotel”

Really lovely hotel within a stones throw of the bus centre. Breakfast was amazing, with such a variety of food we were astounded by the choice and quality.

Staff were really friendly and it didn't seem like anything was too much trouble.

The only thing for me was the evening meal wasn't so great but the ambience and comfort outweighed all of that. There are also some great restaurants to be found within 5 mins away. There is also a cheap pizzeria just across if you want a really cheap snack.

Definitely would go back again.

“The Place to Stay in Venice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Yes, it is the place to stay in Venice. Just over the bridge from the Railway, thru the bus station - so no lugging of suit cases great distances trying to find your hotel in the maze that is Venice. Walking distance to every part of Venice is not taxing, but the ferry stop is a few minutes walk if that is preferred. A welcoming drink introduced us to the cozy bar area. The dining room is very formal but without pretensions. The rooms are decorated in character with the period that Venice implies. Staff were very good, with housekeeping doing an excellent job. Our room overlooked a canal. All in all, this hotel is value for money. Disappointed one staff member told us there would be no fireworks in the square on New Years Eve, but there were, so we had to view them from our immediate area instead of my 11 year old grandson being in the square......disappointing.
