The room is expensive but in the end most places in Venice are expensive. Ernesto the owner is very friendly the rooms very clean and cosy! The hotel is very near to everything! I will stay again next time!
This B&B is closed to St. Mark. We loved the location. Gellato stand right outside the building, along with pizza, resturants and grocery. Breakfast is served in your room once you call down for it. They only have two rooms for rent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We do not stay at B&B but decided to try this one. Great experience. I stay in a lot of hotels in the USA. (approx 70-110 nights per year). This is very comparable to a high end hotel. Everything is close and easy walk. There is not a sign on the door, so follow the directions and look at some of the pics to identify the place. We plan to go back in the next six months. Bed was a little hard but normal for Europe. Two minute walk to St. Mark, five minute Rialto Bridge.
This place should be for the fit and hearty as you must drag your luggage for several blocks and over bridges. Then there are the 14 steep steps once you find it.The air conditioner must be turned off if you leave and it never seemed to overcome the heat of the room. The room is large by Venice standards but is dimly lighted. If you are leaving a cruise ship go to St. Marks square as there is only one bridge to go over if you don't get lost.
We were a family of three in which the room fit three comfortably. The room is decorated very beautifully and is very clean for a reasonable price. The beds were extremely comfortable (i think it was a king size bed) and each morning between 8:30 and 10:00, all we had to do was call for breakfast and a woman would deliver a beautiful breakfast tray to your room. The breakfast consisted of a croissant, roll, melba toast, jam, nutella, juice and delicious cappucino, expresso and milk. The people that own this bed and breakfast are the nicest and sweetest people. The first night the air conditioner broke and we were ready to find a new hotel the next day. I told the owner that the a.c. broke the next morning (it was a free-standing ac) and he said that within 2 hours we will have a new one. We went touring for the day, and sure enough when we got back, a brand new ac was in our room. That was so nice of the owner to do that. I'm sure a lot of other owners would not take the time to accomadate our needs and spend the extra money. These guys did not even blink for a second. We slept like babies the next 2 nights. It was so cold in our room that we slept til 1pm, just like home (U.S.). The B&B is located on a very quiet street in which we didn't hear a single sound from our room. The name of the B&B is on the wall next to the door. I recommend this B&B very highly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a B&B to stay for a few nights, Ca' della Loggia should be high on your list. Also, if you have an extra day, I recommend going to Lido Beach which is about 15 minutes by boat to get away from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Venice. The beach is really nice and the water is very warm. The town is very nice and renting bicycles was a lot of fun. In Venice, I recommend a restaurant called Osteria n.1. The food was delicious, set in a quiet court yard and reasonable prices. And don't forget Ca' della Loggia is our favorite place in Venice, which had free wireless internet connections which aloud me to write this review!
