Hoel dell'Opera is a small hotel, in a good location, very near San Marco, yet out of the way.
Room was large with comfortable furniture and bed. A small balcony with a view of one of the small canals was very attractive. The bathroom although modern was very tiny especially the shower. Breakfast is self- serve and served in a small room with very tiny tables that are uncomfortable. Breakfast was OK, with the usual breakfast items, cereal, meats, pastries (very good) and eggs. The eggs were terrible though. They need a new recipe for scrambled eggs or a new cook. Personal service and helpful staff. Upon arrival we were greeted by Enrico, a very personable and very polite young man. The rooftop 'terrace' is not a terrace at all, but a very, very small balcony that should not be advertised as a terrace. Overall, it is a nice hotel.
