We stayed at this B&B primarily because of a late evening arrival into the Treviso airport on Ryanair, and we are glad we did. Our purpose was to see Venice but the option of using Treviso as a base turned out to be a bonus, both because of the B&B itself and because of the city of Treviso, which provided a glimpse of a more typical Italian town and its people than did Venice.
The B&B itself was pretty much as advertised-50 Euros/night for a clean, nicely furnished double room (shared bath) including breakfast. The owner/manager was very helpful in providing directions, restaurant recommendations etc. The only thing preventing an "excellent" rating was the "do it yourself" breakfast, which while certainly adequate and plentiful was a bit uninspired in terms of what was available. The B&B was quite convenient, being a short 5 minute walk to several restaurants, two of which we sampled and found to be of good quality and value, and about a 15 minute walk to the train station, where for 2.20 Euros you could catch frequent trains travelling the half hour journey into Venice proper.
What we really liked was that staying outside Venice allowed us to somewhat avoid the bustle of a major tourist centre at its busiest time, thus allowing us to eat at more "authentic" Italian restaurants, and wander around a city (that had numerous monuments and attractions to visit) where the natives outnumbered the tourists by a wide margin. If you stay here and have a night in Treviso, try "Don Fernandos" for a reasonably priced good quality restaurant where the owner treats you as an honoured guest rather than a customer.
We recommend Treviso and the Villa Angelina to anyone looking to visit Venice on a budget.
