“Does what it says on the tin...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

I was delighted with my stay at the Ibis in Padova. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, clean and quiet. The WiFi worked (didn't last year!), breakfast was fine. Parking adjacent to the hotel, and the breakfast was good (though items were not as well-marked nor was the selection as good as in some of the Ibis in France), with the croissants, in particular, being very good!!
Great value for money.

“Nice hotel, bad personnel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

The good points of the hotel: Clean, pretty good looking hotel rooms and pretty comfortable. Definitely very good quality and design of the hotel room for the price.

Negative points of the hotel:
- Hotel is pretty far from the city centre and not easy to reach by public transport because of the poor timings.
- Heater of the room was not working
- Bad food in the night which was simply microwave food. What made it worse was the price for the food, which was too much for microwave food.
- Reception is barely able to speak English.
- Hotel didn't have any toothbrush available when asked for.
- Reception wasn't reachable through phone at 5 am in the morning when great noise was being made by other hotel guests in the hallway.

As you might notice already, the hotel room itself is simply very good, great value for money. But all the things around it is very poor. A very very big difference compared to the Ibis Hotel I stayed at in Wembley London. That Ibis hotel was of very very high standards.

“Very noisy and hard to reach by public transport”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2011

We stayed in Padova because it was supposed to be a good price/value alternative to actually staying in Venice while visiting Venice. Allthough staff did their utmost to make it a pleasant stay, unfortunately the automatic door closers on the room doors make it a very noisy hotel. Furthermore it's stuck away somewhere in an industrial area where do definitely do not want to leave the hotel at night. This also makes it hard to reach by public transport (there is a bus, but it takes a long time and runs infrequently).

“Good value, but noisy bedroom”

Everything was as expected from an Ibis hotel and very good value - clean rooms, everything needed, very efficient, decent breakfast (all cold food though).

The hotel is a fair way from the centre of Padova (about a 15 euro taxi fare) but that was fine for us because we were using the hotel as a base for travelling.

Wifi is free in the lobby, but has to be paid for in the room. I was a bit surprised (every other Ibis I have stayed in has had free wifi in the rooms) but it was no big deal to go down to the lobby.

The only downside was that the room was very noisy due to it being beside a main road. There is air-conditioning so you can shut the windows, but even with the window shut and with earplugs I could still hear the traffic!!! Having said that I slept OK, but either get a room with an odd number (it is the even numbered rooms that overlook the road) or else make sure you have earplugs with you :-)

“Good Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Good stay, hotel difficult to find.
Addres was confusing as another street with same name. GPS suffered. New rooms very nice and confortable. Breakfast was good.
