“Tibetan house without quality, hospitality and warmth”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2011

We stayed for 3 nights on our vacation given that it was midway between Verona and Venice. We would not recommend this B&B The entire B&B although quiet, is not maintained well and it stinks of cigarette smoke (even though there are non-smoking signs) hence we had to turn the AC on in our room. We couldn't even eat in the breakfast room due to the smell. Breakfast is poor (all packaged products) not even fresh bread. The hospitality was peculiar and lacked warmth. It is 15 minutes walking from the station and then you have to walk another 20 minutes to get to central Padua. Street parking is challenging due to the number of available spots but it was easier to park after 10pm. There are no decent restaurants nearby. The room does have a fridge, bathroom and bed. There is a unique rule "no showers between midnight-7am". We tried to abide by this rule 2 out of the 3 mornings and we ended up with cold water. Third morning, we had to get up earlier to travel to Venice and had warm water. If you are on a very tight budget and truly do not care about these things, it is a place to stay.

“Good karma.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2010

This is a charming and peaceful guest house set in a small garden in the suburbs. The triple room we had was large and airy, the private bathroom was in a separate room opposite ours on the corridor. There is a kitchen where you can make hot and cold drinks and you can park on the road outside for free. We left the car for a week to see other parts of Italy by train. Alessandro was there to greet us and he even gave us a lift to the train station with all our luggage at the end of our stay.

“Would go back in a heartbeat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2010

This is an absolutely charming B&B run by a retired professor from Padova U. Room and private bath were spotless and toasty warm in winter; but there also was a brand-new-looking A/C in the room for summer. Owner (who speaks English) was delightful; he was anxious to answer questions and suggested some great sites I otherwise would have missed, but obviously didn't want to get in your hair if you weren't interested. He even offered to drive me and all my luggage to the station when I left (at no charge)!
Only slight downside is the location, on the opposite site of the train station from the center of town. It's a pleasant and SAFE residential area, but it meant maybe a 25-min. walk to Scrovegni Chapel--not the end of the world, but kind of a pain in pouring rain...

“Good hospitality and security”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2009

Owner lives separate house near the B&B, then I could use living room and kichen freely. She handed me 3 keys for entrance gate, house entrance and my room, then security is perfect.
Owner kindly take me by car to the PC shop when my PC power cable is broken. She is very kind and friendly.
B&B locates opposite side of the city center from the train station. So, the environment is clean and quiet. To go to the city center, it takes less than 20 minutes by walk.
I stay this B&B and visited Veneza, Vicenza, CastefFranco, Cittadella and Treviso. Most cities are reached by 10min.walk to Padova station and 1 hour ride train. Padova is good base to see Veneto.

“Tibetan House Without the Warmth!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2008

We were looking forward to the staying at the Tibetan House and our email impressions of Luisa, the owner, were positive as she offered to pick us up at the train station and bring us to the B&B. Once we got to the Tibetan House we were pleased with the air conditioning in our rooms and the clean beds, bathroom etc. There is even a little fridge and a shared computer with internet. A common kitchen area is for all along with a small balcony - - all simple but nice. However, we felt at times like we were in a prison as there were 4 gates/doors to get in - outside gate, front door, floor door and room door. As time passed we found Luisa quite impolite and unfriendly. It was almost as if we were an inconveinance to her for being there. Overall very nice rooms, clean etc I am not sure I would stay there again as Luisa's attitude towards the end made us a little uncomfortable. Tibetan House has charm but owner could use some improvements.
