Hotel is nice with friendly staff although somewhat cramped spa. Owner is always around which is a good things. Forgot some clothes in my room and called the hotel to check if they'd found it. They confirmed that the room had not been rented out and that only the cleaning staff had been inside. They insisted that nothing had been found and that it must be somewhere in my luggage. Told it wasn't and they continued to insist that the staff never lies. I've since heard nothing and have lost a pair of ski pants, sweater and a pair of jeans. Amazing that this still happens in some places. Anyway, I'll never go back and would recommend the same to everyone.

We loved everything about this hotel, from the warm welcome to the characterful living areas, to the beautiful bedrooms. Possibly the nicest hotel we have stayed in.

We stayed for 5 nights in July. Very friendly staff- nothing was too much trouble- even drying our wet walking boots. Very spacious clean rooms & relaxing common areas. Excellent breakfasts and the delicious evening meal was very good value. Great location for walking holiday, & a lovely setting at the foot of Mont Blanc. Highly recommended - we would be pleased to return

The auberge de la maison is just 2 minutes through the mont blanc tunnel so is a good place to stay if you are travelling further into Italy. We had a "mont blanc" view room, & you are right next to the mountain, so you really do get a view of it! Our room was very spacious, quite traditional but also well thought out with nice touches such turn down service. We also had a big balcony which came into its own as the weather was fantastic while we were there. We ate at the hotel both nights as we were on a half board deal, the food was pretty good & the service was very friendly. I was not so keen on breakfast, the coffee was dubious & the selection was just a little dated, it could do with a revamp. The village of Entreves is very small, not sure there is anywhere else to eat if you don't opt for hotel, however, Courmayeur is only 5 minutes away by car or a 30 minute walk.
