Stayed here for a week mid January 2012. The hotel is slightly above average for a three star rating (let's say 3.75 stars) and significantly above average for a ski resort hotel.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, a good size, well equipped with Sky TV and free wi-fi, have good ensuite bathrooms (which even includes a bidet - great for tired feet apparently!!!) are warm and even have a small safe located in the wardrobe.
The staff are amazingly friendly and go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
The hotel has a heated boot room and ski locker in the basement, and even boasts a sauna and jacuzzi - not that we used these.
The bar is well equipped (we did use this! A lot!!) and has a large lounge area complete with roaring fire and plenty of board games.
The real star of the hotel, however, is its restaurant. Not Michelin star, but exceptionally good at delivering home-cooked, tasty food in MASSIVE quantities. Typical dinner would comprise a cured meat and cheese starter, a first main course of spaghetti carbonara, a second main course of duck breast and veg, a cheese course and, finally, a dessert. All accompanied by a pretty decent wine list. TOP TIP - stick to the local Aosta wines - superb quality at amazingly cheap prices.
The location is good - far enough (5 minutes slow walk) from the bustle of the resort main strip but close enough to comfortably walk back to from the slopes - in your ski boots with your ski's on your shoulder - you know the drill. Best news is, in the mornings, the hotel's private shuttle bus will drive you to either of the two main ski lift stations. Perfect!!
All in all, highly recommended. Will definately return, with the rest of the family next time. Hotel is well equipped to keep the kids happy also.
