“Wonderful hotel, we'll definitely return”

We stayed in this hotel on the strength of the reviews on Trip Advisor and were delighted to find the hotel exceeding our expectations. The hotel served as a great base to visit Aosta, the Italian alps, Mont Blanc and northern Gran Paradiso. We opted for a more expensive room (fleurs romatics). It was spacious with a balcony and amazing view over Aosta and the mountains. The room was lovely, comfortable (with four poster bed) + all expected amenities. As noted by previous reviewers, the breakfast in this hotel is simply superb - one of the best I've ever had. How they manage to offer such a range is amazing. Expect lots of fruit, fresh juices, home made granola (3 types) and 10+ different pastries and cakes. Tiramisu for breakfast? It's here is you want it! There were of course cheese & meats for those who choose this option. Perfect for those visiting in the winter season & venturing out for a full day's worth of sporting activities, highly calorific for those who aren't! The hotel did have a pool but it was way too cold for us. Overall we really loved this hotel and will be back again next year.

This was our third stay at the hotel and once again we found it perfect. Clean, warm, quiet, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a fabulous breakfast.

“Greatly updated over former stay!”

We stayed at this hotel some 5-6 years ago, and were very surprised at how much has been changed or updated since; from the dirt parking lot at the hotel entrance, old uninviting swimming pool, and rooms with rustic furniture to new grounds, fabulous swimming pool, and newer room furnishings. Our room had a balcony and the views are as described!

As with our first visit, we had an impossible time finding the hotel until I recalled that getting to the hotel was very easy when down in the area of the Roman arch.

There were only two negatives - beds that were board hard with very hard pillows, and an Internet that nearly required one to have an Italian keyboard (each room's password consisted of letters, numbers, and special characters) - very frustrating!

“A Beatutiful Stay in the Italian Alps”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2010

We stayed at the Milleluci three nights in late May and found the location and physical setting to be delightful. This is a very quiet, restful hotel in a fun-to-explore converted farmhouse (it's been a hotel since 1959) resembling a Swiss chalet. You don't need to drag your bags up the front steps--there's a driveway leading down to a lower level loading door in back. It was too cool for us to use the pool, but it looked large, clean, and lovely. There are spacious rooms with comfortable furniture for lounging in front of the fireplace off the lobby. Oh, did I mention the views!? The Milleluci is surrounded by gorgeous mountain views on all sides--I think it would be impossible to have a room without a view here. Downstairs has a spa and a workout room. Breakfast was fantastic with a tempting spread of pastries of every variety. There was an Internet machine off the lobby, but I never was able to connect.

We were concerned about finding the hotel (we drove in from Lake Maggiore), but found that the trick is to follow all the signs toward Porrosan, after exiting the A5 Autostrada onto SS26. I agree with another reviewer that it is not really practical to walk into town, given the steep hill the hotel is on--it's only 5 minutes by car. We found parking in the area of the Arch each day and night we went into Aosta proper. Like another reviewer, we also were not impressed by the hotel offerings right in Aosta, and we were glad we stayed at the Milleluci. There was no problem driving into town for dinner each night, and there are many delightful restaurants along the old Roman pedestrian street.

“Lovely, friendly and warm”

We stayed here for 3 nights after a week of skiing in Courmayeur. We wanted something comfortable with easy parking to use as a base to explore the valley. We couldn't have chosen better. The staff were friendly and helpful (providing maps and info) and the room (a Fleurs Dorees) had a great view and comfortable beds. The bathrooms are tiny though but everything else was excellent. We walked up and down the hill every day into Aosta which was no more than about 15 minutes each way. The breakfast was great, serving mostly local produce.
