“Nice, cosy and beautifully located.”

Lovely hotel, family run right in the centre of Trento. I stayed 4 nights in a single room. I had a beautiful view at Piazza Duomo with the fountain and the cathedral. The room was clean and cosy, nicely furnitured and warm despite the frost outside. The breakfast was basic but tasty (with delicious hand-made croissants) and the staff were more than friendly. Another advantage is very affordable price comparing to the location. Still, if you look for a modern, luxurious hotel better choose another place. However, if you like the small, a bit old-fashioned in a pleasant way hotels, where the owners remember your name and try to be as helpful as they can - this is the place for you. I spent there a wonderful time and if I went to Trento once again I would certainly choose the same hotel.

“Great location, average hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I would really like to give this place a rating of 3.5 and I have a lot to say, as this place has many pros and cons. This was our first time in Trento, the city is beautiful and quaint and this hotel was perfectly located. Close to a grocery store and a great little Greek sandwich shop right around the corner. Just a few blocks from the train station, could easily be walked. We had 5 bags between the two of us (which is ridiculous!) so we did not attempt the walk, but it was a rather silly taxi trip. The price of this hotel was average for what we were paying for hotels during our trip, but we definitely stayed at better for the price. We paid a little extra and got the balcony room, which made up for a little of this room's misgivings, the view on to the piazza and the people watching was really nice. The room was fairly large and the bathroom a good size, although narrow. The beds were awful! At least the one I slept on. It sagged very bad towards the middle and was very lumpy, but I did sleep and wasn’t sore in the morning. Can definitely tell this place needs some upgrading. Here I'm on the fence if the decor and feel of the room was a pro or a con. I love the old, quaint, European style, that’s why I travel here, but this place, on the inside, was almost borderline seedy to me. Could have just been a long day of travel, it's in a great location and is half the price of the hotels on either side of it, so there you have it. They were actually doing some construction and remodeling while we were there. This probably leads towards my lower rating a bit, the whole place smelled of paint and just felt a little shabby with all the plastic everywhere. This hotel also has no lift, so pack light if you stay here! The staff was helpful and breakfast was decent. If I am ever back in Trento, I will probably stay here again, but it will be because of the location and price.

Room Tip: This hotel has two buildings. The one offering views of the piazza and the building right behind it...

Room Tip: Try and get one facing the Piazza /cathedral or painted house.(5)

“Traditional, individual hotel with stunning Piazza views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

Not a modern luxury hotel - the rooms are old-fashioned, there's no lift/elevator - but it's clean and friendly, great value, superb location, and feels like a proper old hotel - we loved it !
Paid around 70 euro for a double room with stunning views over the Piazza Del Duomo: looking out over the activity at different times of day was a joy. This is not the place if you want pampering, saunas, wide-screen TVs or swimming pools, but if you want to stay in a hotel with character that feels like it actually belongs in its lovely urban surroundings, it's a gem.
Please be advised not all rooms face the Piazza - they have some rooms just around the corner (on another lovely street) in an old stone tower.

“Great Hotel for the Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

We had a lovely room with 4 single beds, including breakfast and our own bathroom, for 104 euros. We looked out over the beautiful Piazza Duomo of Trento. There was no elevator, so that could be a problem for some people. The room wasn't too fancy, but there was a TV and lots of storage space. The best thing about the hotel was the wonderful reception - the young man working there was very cheery and enthusiastic about Trento and full of useful recommendations. The breakfast was very good too.
