“its very special..... except one preventable feature”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2011

The staff are courteous, perhaps less effusive than some hotels, as english maybe a third language but there is no problem at reception. The location, 100m to centre and linked to large hot pool complex is wonderful. Our rooms (101 102 linked for our family of teenagers) were large (2 armchairs in each) modern and very clean, But the downside was the loud clatter of trucks unloading linen (etc) comencing from 4 a.m in the morning and going thru (at odd times) until 7 am. It was impossible to sleep through this and not an expected feature of a hotel of this quality. I suggest check all details of your rooms (and also try Liszt restaurant nearby... a fun and good vlue restaurant.

“Prepay for the best price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2010

I had one quick evening in Meran and made the smart move to show up at 10am. Of course, I knew my room wouldn't be ready - i didn't want it... I wanted to use the pools until 3pm! It was absolute HEAVEN. The general pool area was crowded with paying customers, but after a few hours I realized I could use the spa pools since I was a guest at the hotel. Pure pleasure. Wonderful staff. Great room. So worth it. I hope to be back next summer with my husband and try the couples spa treatments.

“Great location especially since hotel is...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

Great location especially since hotel is part of the only thermal waters facility in area. Place is clean, well run and staff friendly. Few negatives: place of this class and price range should offer free internet instead of charging EUR1.50/15 min, 4.50/hr or 14.50/day. Room 331 had a noisy A/c but it was cool outside so we used windows. The special of 4 nights for price of 3 incl breakfast (very good) and thermal pools (superb and clean) is the only way to go as far as value is concerned.

“Very expensive; badly run; rude staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2010

This is a town centre hotel which could be of a good standard , but is badly run. If you are unlucky enough to get a room on the interior well, it will be dark and poky . The restaurant service is sub-standard, with one very harrassed waiter trying his best at breakfast to serve tea/coffee etc to 200 people! The swimming pool area is beautifully arranged , but the floors are unacceptably slippery and inevitably will lead to accidents . However, to gain access , you are given a wristband, and it was this which led to my overriding view of this hotel, because on checking out, I was asked by a very abrupt girl where my wristband was. On telling her I had left it in the room, I was peremptorily told to go and get it. This sort of rudeness ( which the acting manager refused even to apologise for, despite my pointing out that the guests are not the servants of the hotel) just will not do in a £200 /$330 a night hotel . It was symptomatic of a hotel where the staff were badly selected and not properly controlled . Never again!

“Good place to relax !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2009

My wife and I booked this hotel before we went back to our home country for some relaxation. The Hotel is luxury and has all comfort you expect from a 4 star hotel.
We booked the arrangement with a free massage and a free 4 course meal.

The room was modern and had a comfortable balcony with view over the Terme. One minor complain was we booked a smoking room but by arrival they said the didn’t have smoking rooms and it was only allowed on the balcony. As it was good weather this was no big problem but they should change the website as the information isn’t correct.
The room was clean and kept clean. The bathroom was clean and had all amenities you would expect. By arrival there was a handbag with goodies for the Terme such as bathrobe and towels.

The Terme was easily accessible by a tunnel directly from the hotel. The Terme was nice and there is plenty to do for every age and did also have a sauna facility. We had access to the Terme during our stay for 2 days.

The Hotel did also had a own Terme facility that was not that big but good enough for a short relax in the pool or to sunbath. The massage we get was not that spectacular and was to short in our opinion. We should have a half an hour massage but it was a sound massage with gongs that cost 15 minutes and you could rest or sleep the other 15 minutes. We would expect a full 30 minute massage and not 15 minutes.

The restaurant by the hotel was very good with excellent quality food and waiters. Our experience was a 5 star restaurant instead of 4 star. We eat here both evenings and both evenings the food and service was of high quality.
It’s not expensive but worth the money.

The breakfast was the best we had during our round trip through Italy. There was all the food you could imagine from fresh salmon, baked eggs, scrambled eggs, different kind of bread and even a life cook. Coffee and tea was served on the table.
We experienced this breakfast as a 5 start breakfast.

Overall we could highly recommend this hotel to others, the price is high but you certainly get quality for the money.
