This is a town centre hotel which could be of a good standard , but is badly run. If you are unlucky enough to get a room on the interior well, it will be dark and poky . The restaurant service is sub-standard, with one very harrassed waiter trying his best at breakfast to serve tea/coffee etc to 200 people! The swimming pool area is beautifully arranged , but the floors are unacceptably slippery and inevitably will lead to accidents . However, to gain access , you are given a wristband, and it was this which led to my overriding view of this hotel, because on checking out, I was asked by a very abrupt girl where my wristband was. On telling her I had left it in the room, I was peremptorily told to go and get it. This sort of rudeness ( which the acting manager refused even to apologise for, despite my pointing out that the guests are not the servants of the hotel) just will not do in a £200 /$330 a night hotel . It was symptomatic of a hotel where the staff were badly selected and not properly controlled . Never again!
