I booked this hotel after having read the reviews on Venere.com. Everything was perfect except the mattresses in our room (the smallest one)....just like two heavyweights been there!
Pets are allowed so we could take our dog there and had walks every day on the mountain behind the hotel. There are lots of interesting walking trails connecting each town. There is a fancy hotel with a tennis court right under Weger through with a shortcut, and through another trail are two hotels on the way to Merano 2000. We had dinner in one of them and it was very nice.
Not to miss the river in Merano, Passirio, especially the part to the east with gorgeous views! You can sit outside the cafes along the promenade sipping a coffee while looking at this crystal clear water running down towards the centre and the sunshine passing through the trees. You can hardly find any rubbish (well I'm from MIlano).
