To be honest, I am flabbergasted that some people did not like this hotel and a couple of reviewers even graded it as terrible. I first visited this hotel in 2005 when it was still 3 star and then again in 2006 by which time it had obtained its fourth star. Mrs. Werth went out of her way to make our stay welcoming.
There are five star hotels at which I stayed that weren't half as good. Believe me, and I am a difficult person to please. It is true that the hotel is hard to find at first because you have to enter through a drive-way and it is almost invisible from the street. But nowadays with the availability of Google Earth, it should not be too difficult.
Breakfast is continental and plentiful. The rooms were always of superior quality and I can't understand the complaint about the dogs. When I stayed there, there was only one dog, a German shepherd called Iago and he was as good as gold.
