“If you're traveling with a family of four, you need to stay here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed with our family of four, purchased the family suite, which turned out to be the executive two room/1 and 1/2 bath suite set up with extra beds, which was absolutely perfect. Beautiful upscale, modern luxury, comparable to Ritz Carlton, very friendly front desk and bell staff, terrific lobby bar and breakfast. Front desk also recommended excellent local restaurants and walking itinerary as well, and hotel is walking distance to everything. If you're headed to Turin with your family, just book this hotel and enjoy this incredible city.

Room Tip: If you have two teenagers, get the "family suite" which is the executive-floor two room an...

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Great hotel in the middle of Turin, very well appointed and decorated, service second to none.. One downside is the layout if you are in Golden 2 you have to go to first floor walk along a maze of corridors and take another lift! Apart from that well worth a visit, well stocked bar with attentive staff and fantastic choice at breakfast

“Good Location & Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

I stayed at this hotel for two nights back in September. Apart from a problem with the room key on my first room (details below) my stay was very pleasant. The hotel is in a good location for shopping, local attractions and access to the railway station. It is about 30 minutes from Turin airport. Breakfast was included in my room rate and the selection and quality was good.

Now back to the room key issue. I was first allocated a standard room in the second 'block'. I have to say this is a bit of a trek from main reception so I would recommend requesting a room in the main part of the hotel. To get to the other area you need to take the lift to the first or second floor ( I cannot recall) then walk along a corridor and take another lift if you are on a higher floor (I was allocated to the 4th). It took me a good 5 minutes of brisk walking to get to my room only to find the key did not work. After taking the trip back to reception the problem was dealt with swiftly. I was allocated a different room in case there was a on going problem with the key. The hotel was fairly booked up and I actually ended up with an upgrade to a one bedroom suite which was amazing!! You could not fault the room, which had a separate lounge, bathroom with bath and shower, large bedroom.

I would definately use this hotel again.

“Un palazzo d'oro?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

The Golden Palace hotel in Turin is at a walking distance of Turins centro storico. We had a nice and quiet room with the usual facilities at the fifth (top) floor. Finally a safe deposit box that was big enough to store our laptop, camera and other things easily. A minus were the internetfacilities, no wi-fi with exception of the ground level and a 10 euro 24hrs internet access in the room. In a five star hotel on the (executive) 5th floor you'd expect free and unlimited internet facilities. In the lounge the music was rather loud and irritating. The music selection itself did not give you the feeling of being in Italy. More music than 'musica'. But those are details, the hotel is very good, the atmosphere more international than Italian.

“Comfortable place and perfect central location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

Nothing fency but a good ratio quality /price and service for Italy (about EUR 200 per night, prepaid, not refundable). The hotel is very central and easy to reach with a parking (EUR 30 per day). Our room was well furbished, clean, quiet, large and modern. Breakfast is OK. Swimming pool /SPA is a plus after a long shoppinbg day !
