“Character and charm, perfect location, fantastic value. You won't get better.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011 via mobile

The Bologna is a family run hotel, and you can tell. It isn't slick, efficient and corporate and nor would you want it to be!
Charming baroque rooms, large & clean original parquet floors which ooze the scents of forgotten grander days.
Beds basic, but clean and comfortable, perfect location for rail or airport links, staff amenable, pleasant and helpful. Not lots of English spoken, but you are in Italy folks!
Please visit, it's lovely and i want to go back!

“basic, welcoming, comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

This is a nice hotel with really nice staff; room was a decent size, quiet, and with both fresh air and an air conditioner. WiFi was free and available throughout the hotel, though the speed wasn't tops, it was solid enough (except for one day) to collect mail overnight etc. Breakfast is simple, but with freshly-made coffee. The location is excellent (across the road from the train station, and where the buses to/from the airport stop). This hotel offers a quality above its price.

“Not a bad stay”

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, and the experience wasn't bad. The room was spacious and its close to the sightseeing places, and Across the hotel is the main train station. The breakfast was okay, just not many choices. The staff were nice, but not many of them can speak English.

“The maid left my door wide open all day!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2010

The first day I stayed at this hotel, I came back to the room to find the door propped wide open. Luckily, nothing was stolen, but the hotel mainly laughed it off, saying the maid must have been distracted while cleaning. They did not offer any compensation for the violation of my trust, and every day after that I was extremely nervous to leave the place and carried anything remotely valuable with me. Also, my non-smoking room had an ashtray, and smelled of past smoke, and the hallways and stairs smelled like smoke.
