“Reasonable hotel- grumpy service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2010

Stayed here as part of a package tour. Great location near downtown culture and shopping. Small lobby with computer available for a (high) fee. Staff multilingual but, with the exception of Francesca, very grumpy. When I asked for an extra pillow, I was told there was one in the room. I said "yes, but there are two of us and I need one more"- was frowned at then completely ignored. Others on my tour had similar problems with grumpy responses.
Plenty of elevators, rooms adequate size and clean. Beds a bit soft and tv was all italian, as far as we could tell. Reasonably quiet. Breakfast room kind of like a treasure hunt in the basement, nothing special at the end. We really enjoyed the restaurant for dinner, though.

“PERFECTLY SITUATED AND AGREEABLE IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

I endorse the positive comments made by other guests. The staff are pleasant and extremely helpful, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast is very good. Apart from a restaurant under the hotel,.it is close to a very useful and reasonable self service restaurant.

“Great location, decent hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2009

Being on a business trip in Italy, I had the opportunity to enjoy the city of Turin for one day. I chose Le Petit Hotel because it is conveniently located between Piazza San Carlos and Castello. Although the reception of the doorman just before midnight (my plane arrived late) was not too friendly, the hotel was otherwise pretty decent. If you can offer a clean bed and private showerroom for 60 euro, this guy is happy. Well rested I could step right into the centre of Turin the next day (without breakfast because the sun was too tempting to stay another minute inside). Although I was not thrilled by this hotel, it is good value for money.

“A lovely hotel for a lovely city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2009

Very clean, big rooms with balconies overlooking a lovely courtyard. The bathroom is spacious too, and well maintained. Centrally located.
Extremely friendly service, we had made a mistake in the date of our reservations, and realized it just before we got on the flight to Turin. They were very nice about it and accommodated the change of dates without a hassle.
We had breakfast at the cafes around, since when you have such delightful ones around there is no point having breakfast in the hotel. As for cafes, we definitely suggest the Al Bicerin and Cafe Torino (a tad expensive, but well worth the money, the hot chocolate is an experience!)

“Nice hotel in good location”

We had a very comfortable couple of weekend stays at the Le Petit Hotel. The hotel is fairly simple but very clean with well-equipped rooms - ours looked out onto the courtyard at the back and the very pretty church.

It's in a good area and is very well located for the main sites of Turin (Palazzo Reale, cathedral etc. It's about 15 mins walk from Porta Nuova or Porta Susa stations (or buses pass close by). It's easy to find because of the round neon sign on the corner.

The staff are friendly and helpful with recommendations for cafes, transport etc.

The breakfast is fine by Italian standards, with cornflakes, rolls, cake, pastries, boiled eggs, cheese, ham etc, with tea or coffee or whatever. The reviewer who says it's the worst he's ever had obviously hasn't been to many ordinary Italian hotels.

Turin is a beautiful city, even in the middle of winter, with several fine museums and dozens of lovely cafes. We stayed a couple of nights there, then went to Claviere for a week's ski-ing, then back to Turin again. I'd be very happy to go there again and wouldn't hesitate to book in the the Le Petit Hotel.
