“Excellent small hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2011

Nearly everything about this newly-renovated hotel is exceptional. The only weakness is that is it a little off the beaten path. Although it is very near the main train station in Turin (a plus, not a minus in this sophisticated city), it is on the far side from the main tourist sites, making it a 10 or 15 minute walk to the tourist center. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful, the beds are comfortable, the water is hot, etc. etc. Highly recommended.

“Bring your own pillows”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 May 2010

The liberty is a newly refurbished hotel which is overrated. The price we paid, 120 euros per night, did not reflect the quality we expected. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are comfortable. The pillows are however like bricks so both my husband and I ended up with neck ache. Also the bathrooms have frosted windows (with no curtains) which you could see through which was disconcerting. We paid 70 euros per night in Milan for much better quality hotel so were pretty miffed. The breakfast was the usual italian sweet stuff; they could have offered a better selection; again we have paid far less for far better quality with much better breakfast!. The price may have been due to the Turin shroud being in display for the first time in 25 years which we did see although this was not the purpose of our visit.

“Hotel with good price/quality ratio in a quiet street close to center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2009

My wife and I stayed one weekend in early December '09 and liked it very much. It's been renovated recently (few years ago) although they've kept some old furniture in teh hallways and rooms.

The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was TV with a few channels (mostly Italian) but then again, we didn't come to Turin to watch TV :) Room was equiped with a small fridge and safebox. There was roomservice but we never used it.

Service was professional and friendly; staff were always available.

Breakfast was ok (Italian style) - good coffee.

It's located about 3 streets east of the main train station, in a quiet area of Turin. Via Roma was about 7 minutes by foot. Since it's a quiet street, we found parking quite easily. The hotel also offers private parking in conjunction with a nearby parking garage (extra charge).

To mention one negative point, we found the showers a bit small.

Still, I would recommend Hotel Liberty for those looking for a good, simple, comfortable, quiet, efficient hotel near the center of Turin.

“Great Hotel, location, room size, value, service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2009

Our group of 7 ranged from 3 to 76 years old and included one dog.
Some of us in the group have extremely high standards and we were all very impressed with this little hotel.

My husband and I had been to Turin 10 years previously and had been bothered by the street noise in a hotel closer to the action. This hotel was very quite, our rooms faced an internal court-yard. All of us felt the website did not do the rooms justice as they are a good size and very modern and clean and recently refurbished. The furniture is antique but not dusty.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and very tolerant of our small kids and large dog.
It is a little walk to the buzzy part of town but a pleasant walk and you'll get a better night's sleep.
