“Decent, nothing more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel for Christmas and nothing happening in the building reminded us of the celebration spirit. The restaurant was closed, few guests, the staff was polite and reserved. Not many smiles.... We received a small clean room with standard facilites. Our fiends received at the same price a bigger prettier room. So, it's possible. The breakfast was quite modest based mainly on cold things.
The hotel is close to the city center, to the railway station and to the metro which is a good point.

“convenient located hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

This hotel is convenient located in the centre of turin, in a quiet street near the train station and the bus stop for the airport. Most of the city you can do by foot from the hotel. The rooms are good. Nice beds. It was only a bit warm in the rooms. We didn't have breakfast there but just in the bar opposite, for a good coffee and pastry. Staff was helpfull with ansewering questions about public transport and things to visit. I would return to this hotel next time.

“Decent Hotel in Turin City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

Generally this is a good hotel, with good sized king rooms. We had enough space to move around the room with 1 king bed, 1 baby crib and 3 large bags. Room we stayed in had a balcony facing the street which is much nicer than rooms that face the inner court. I think none king size rooms can be quite small. In terms of service, all the cleaning staff finish off at 2pm, so if you need anything its best to get it while they are there, other wise the front desk staff will do their best to fulfill your request. The front desk staff, especially the manager "Ernesto" will try their best to help out. They were generally very friendly and helpful. All in all, this hotel is quite good value. Rooms are clean and is in a good location, very close to one of the main train stations. There are lots of places to eat that are close to the hotel and 10-15 mins walk to the city center. Wifi can sometime be provided free of charge or else its 10 euro for 24 hours of usage which can be used over multiple days. Breakfast is quite basic with cereals and breads.

Room Tip: ask for street facing rooms

“Good location & helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

First time in Turin and after driving from Mont Blanc the sat nav found the hotel at the first attempt right in the city centre. Parking is a problem but we arrived on a Saturday night and if you get a 'blue' marked parking space on the surrounding streets it is free on a Sunday. Check-in was easy although electronic key didn't work so we were immediately provided with an old style key straight away. Asked for local bar suggestions and the suggested Huntsman bar (on other side of station entrance) was styled on an English pub with an excellent selection of beers at reasonable prices.

Room was comfortable and clean and bathroom was more practical than stylish. Only moan is that there is no shelf in shower for soap, shampoo etc and no coffee/tea making facilities.

Breakfast is adequate with continental selection but nothing hot.

Good hotel if all you need is a clean room and being close to the attractions.

“A somewhat run down average hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

I wouldn't recommend this place unless you needed a cheap place to stay and weren't looking for any amenities. It is an older property, rooms are kind of beat up, very spartan. My room was very dark, didn't have any furniture except for a chair, so it wasn't suitable for working. Carpets hadn't been cleaned in a while. Workable wireless access was available for free, even though you had to ask for a password after a few hours of access and were told it would cost 3Euro for 1 hour. Included breakfast was OK but very basic. Front desk staff sometimes was friendly but you could tell that there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm. Hotel is located across the street ftom the Porta Nuova train station, very convenient. There are plenty of little shops and restaurants around, but after dark the area can be a little intimidating.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the courtyard but away from the stairway door.
