“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

The hotel is located in a convenient location for shopping and sight-seeing. There is a vast difference in the quality of rooms. The first room was very small with barely enough room to step around the single bed. When a change was requested, the staff were very helpful and the new room was a relatively spacious space with a very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was included in the price and offered a good variety of food. Overall, good value for the price.

“Only stayed here because I had to!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

OK, to be fair I should say that I did not pick this hotel it was booked on my behalf. If I had been looking for a hotel this would not have passed even an initial scan on TA.

Positives, there are few:
*good location for access to the station and sights;
*spacious and air conditioned room;
*reasonable breakfast.

Negatives:
*This is NOT a four star hotel, it is two at best. Decor is dated and the hotel looks generally in need of refurbishment;
*Rooms are basic, dark and dingy. My room was on the top floor and even though it had two windows in the room it was still depressingly dark. If you like hard beds and pillows you will be fine for me it meant many sleepless nights. The nets on the windows were either filthy or discoloured and the window frames themselves rotten. The windows are not double glazed so you get a lot of noise from the road below throughout the night. Facilities were limited there was no tea/coffee options, safe or iron.
* The bathroom again needed redecorating a lot of the wall tiles were cracked. The bath/shower is an accident waiting to happen with a shower curtain that is fair too large so lays across the bottom of the bath and with a non removable hand held shower on the other side with cord you could easily trip on both when trying to use the shower afixed to the wall at the top end. This really does need looking at! Finally, towels were not changed.

This is not a place I would have stay for even one night if given the choice. Price wise it is definately overpriced our discounted rate was about 110 Euros a joke.

“Overpriced”

I´ve stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel has a very good location. Near central station, with a bus stop just in front and 50 m from the stop of the bus that comes from the airport.
The staff were friendly and helpfull.
The room was spacious and quiet but was on the top floor. The ceiling was lowered which meant that there were certain places where I hit my head on the roof :-). For example, in the shower i have to be inclined for not beating with my head in the roof.
I ask in the reception to change room, but the hotel was full!
In general is a good hotel if the room it is not in a top floor, and have also a very location for visiting Turim. (nice city)

“Clean, nice location with a little bit of lack of taste”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2010

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The rate was not high, in fact it was cheap for a 4 star in Europe. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Once you get out, you are in Roma street where the shops begin. The rooms are clean, the people are friendly. I had the chance to eat in the reastraunt as well. Just like the hotel, the restaurant does not have any taste at all, estetically I mean. The food was delicious althought there is no much choice on the menu. The hotel is not modern but since it was clean, I didn't care much.
There is no free internet connection. You have to pay for it and it is quite strange since even in 3 star hotels it is possible to find free internet connection.
If you would like to stay in a clean hotel in city center which does not cost much, this hotel is perfect.

“superb service”

The location of this hotel is fantastic & made it easy for us to take excursions to the country side and take a bus to the conference we were attending.
Yes, it is frayed around the edges but very clean. The hotel service is impeccable. No matter what we needed-it was at our door immediately & all questions were answered kindly. Our room was very comfortable--nothing fancy. Large bathroom.
There are several inexpensive places to eat close to the hotel--don't dine there. The best trattoria that is open till 10:30 is Pizzeria Augusto.
Great shops nearby.
complaints? no free internet & it was a pain to have to buy it each day. A good restaurant and bar would have been nice but there are plenty near by & free buffet breakfast there has a little something for everyone.
Price is mid-range when we traveled there was a large conference so all hotels were booked & rates were high
