I stayed at Hotel President 6th January 2011 for 2 nights and spent three days exploring Torino as I had an evening flight on the Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel President I met three different ladies covering reception at various times who were all very pleasant, spoke English, gave me maps of Torino and advised me where to go. The Ladies in the Restaurant for breakfast and the team members cleaning the bedroms also acknowledge me each time I saw them. The bedrooms are a good size, ensuite bathroom, clean and comfortable with all basic requirements. I would compare to a 3 star standard city centre Hotel in UK. The Bus stop is very conveniently located outside the Front of the Hotel just six short stops into the centre of Torino. Get off at Palazzo di Citta. When you return the bus stop is just around the corner from here in Via Settembre xx by Piazza Giovanni just a short walk from the main centre of Torino Piazzetta Reale and The Castello (Castle) and returns again to outside the Hotel front door. Approx 2 euros. As I was travelling alone after being on business in Italy I got the bus each time into the centre, however if I had been with a colleague I would have liked to have walked and this would probably take a pleasant 20 -30 minutes and looked easy once you had found my way on the bus. Torino itself I enjoyed walking around on my own and did not feel at all uncomofrtable. The main shopping areas VIA Giuseppe Garabaldi, Via Roma and a lovely walk down Via Po to Piazza Vittorio Veneto. I also walked outside of these areas and found lovely Piazza's with seats and little Parks to sit in. There is also a large outdoor Market. I had a late lunch / early dinner in a Pizzeria/ Ristorante just off Via Po which cost euros 15 Pasta, bread and wine and also the following evening I eat in a Pizzeria/Ristorante across the road from the hotel and about a minutes walk down the road, same price and again very friendly and the food was good, some local people eating there as well. I am definately hoping to go to Torino again and stay at this Hotel. The location of the Hotel is a few minutes walk away from Stazione Dora which goes to Torino Caselle Airport. Breakfast in the Hotel was a buffet of cheeses and meats with fruit, various breads and pastries, yoghurts, fruit and coffee which again ample and this is ITALY ! ( why should an English Breakfast be expected ? !)I slept very well here this is a City Centre location after all there is bound to be a little traffic noise which I did not notice as the Hotel is set back from the road and again the area is city centre I was on my own and would like to again say I did not feel uncomfortable at any time in Torino like anywhere a case of being sensible with your bag and what you wear (i.e. not lots of jewellery !) , flat shoes and looking confident. ( Don't stand on street corners to look at you map ... bit obvious then you don't know the area ! ) This is the first time I have been compelled to write a comment on Trip Advisor after looking through some of the other comments mine experince was very positive. Well done to the Hotel President Team.
