My family had a good experience on a quick tour of Turin/Torino. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were all friendly, helpful with recommendations, and spoke a good amount of English. Free breakfast was a bonus, though not an elaborate spread, but still a good way to start the day. We heard some street noise from the late night crowd, but what can you expect when the location is in such a central spot. It is within walking distance to major sites and an abundance of high-end shopping, even with buggies for the kids. Very close to the train station, but bring your GPS if you are driving as it is tucked into inner parts off the main roads. I recommend using the private underground garage associated with hotel, worth the extra euros (especially after seeing all the cars on the street with "the club" on the steering wheels). Our visit focused on the Museo Egizio as our daughter just completed a lesson on ancient Egypt in school. We can't figure out why Torino doesn't register on the major tourist scene with no ackowledgement from Rick Steves and little in the other publications, but we found plenty to entertain us for 2 days.
