“Excellent hotel for special occasions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

The hotel is located walking distance from the center of Orta village. It looks really extraordinary with the mauritian style and also the interior has a lot of charachter. We had a room on third floor with lovely balcony facing the lake Orta. The service was really good, warm and friendly.
The highlight of our visit was the cooking course - for two hours we had a chance to visit the kitchen of 2 Michelin star restaurant and see and hear from the Chef how the dishes are prepared.
The hotel is not cheap but absolutely worth the price

“5 star everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

Villa Crespi has everything-The property and rooms are exquisite. The rooms are beautifully appointed and sacrifice nothing in terms of comfort. I loved the jacuzzi bath!
You absolutely must eat here. The dining experience is incredible, I believe they have at least one Michelin star, and well deserved. Excellent wine as well recommended by the sommelier. The staff are amazing, all trained at hospitality institutes and it shows! The owners are amazing, and will do everything to make your stay memorable
This place is a definite must if you are in the lakes district!

Room Tip: Simply ask for an upgrade if it's available.

“amazing place for gastro fanatics”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2011

had 3 nights, 1 dinner, 1 lunch and a cooking course. location is perfect, short walk to the lovely little town, but if you need some more things to see, you can rent a car at the reception. room was perfect, clean, big and equipped with sky channels and wifi, the bathroom was perfect as well. the crew is very helpful and they do their best. i have to mention, that this is a small hotel, family business, and there are things which can be different, but as a principle, if you are nice, not expecting the stars to come down, this place is one of the best to relax. not going to write long about the food, it is just simply heaven for gastro lovers. well deserved 2 stars, could be more.

“What a wonderful place with exceptional quality and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 July 2011

Hotel Villa Crespi is a stunning high quality combination between a small luxury Hotel, a 2 star Michelin Restaurant, quite and beautiful area and extraordinary service.

Take your time for a visit to the restaurant and please allow the Chef to surprise you with a menu which will give you an experience you'll never forget.

“A wonderfully unique castle in a beautiful setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2011

I visited here in August 201o with my boyfriend for 3 nights. Villa Crespi is a beautiful and very unique place, there are beautiful features throughout. We stayed in room 234 - not one of the biggest but on arrival we found it was the one with the balcony looking out over the front of the hotel - such beautiful views; we ate breakfast out here every morning. We didnt see balcony's with any other rooms and when we return (which we definitely will!) we will be requesting the same room.

the food in the restaurant was amazing.. and chosen with a 'champagne flight' was a special treat indeed.

The staff were very helpful; whilst English wasnt always easy with some staff they always found someone who could help us (and it spurred us on to learn the italian language!).

The walk down to lake Orta is pretty and the town is beautiful in the evening with the little walkways lit up with ornate street lights.

I would definately recommend visiting!!

Room Tip: feel like royalty in room 234 (balcony and views!)
