Got an excellent value at the BW Principe for 105Euro/double room including breakfast. This was a clean, nicely decorated an well located hotel with all the amenities in the centre of Cuneo. The owners welcomed us, even carried our luggage to the room and wanted to make sure that our stay at their hotel was pleasant. Would definetly stay here again !

What a treat this hotel is for the tired and weary European traveller! A king size bed (unheard of in Europe), a large, clean room with a balcony and the friendliest staff in all the land! We all felt like we were in a dreamland somewhere! There were 6 of us in three rooms. We were all treated like Queens and Kings. Reservations were made for us at the drop of a hat. Our every whim was taken care of before we could even finish our sentence. The hotel was located right in the main plaza so we were within walking distance of the train station as well as the Tuesday street fair. We all would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area of Italy. Our hats off to the wonderful and gracious staff.

We were lost, tired, the night was falling, and we had no place to stay. When we pulled into the city center of Cueno, we saw the words Best Western (Hote Principe). To us Americans it was like seeing McDonalds in the middle of the desert. The manager was outside and approached us to see if we were okay, lost, and if he could help. When we explained our situation, he brought us into his hotel and set us up with very nice contemporary style room. My family loved it! While the view was of a dark alley, but the hotel and room were clean and the staff so far was wonderful. When my PDA's modem broke the manager helped and supplied me with tools to fix it. When we learned the town was closed down for the weekend because of a national holiday, he directed us to a friend that owned a winery where a festival was taking place. We enjoyed free food, drinks, and an incredible once in a lifetime experience that lasted 12 hours. We brought wine back to the manager for being so kind to us. This is not what Americans would call a normal Best Western Hotel. The Hotel Principe is in a class all its own. Also, Cueno has great food, great people, and the BEST chocolate rum gelato in Italy.
