Great location and room. Careful tho, 5 euro for public parking per day, 10 euro if you use the kitchenette, 10 euro for a change of towels. If you are used to USA where towels are changed as a matter of course make sure you don't make that mistake here. If you use an iPad, you will get no wi fi connection for the 7 euro charge. Most staff extremely helpful and printed out maps for us, breakfast ok, not great.

Since we were just staying overnight in Asti, we chose a smaller room in a lovely hotel that would accomodate our main wishes: silence at night, individually operated airconditioning and proximity to the town centre. The room was nice and very clean, and there was no mentionable noise or disturbance at night, apart from the dreadful airconditioning that would not quiet down. It rattled like a train and eventually, we had to turn it off altogether. Luckily the room was not too hot so we managed. The wifi connection which cost 7 euro (!!) did not work at all. Incomprehensible in a modern hotel! We did get a refund, though, so no real harm was done. Less forgivable was the breakfast and the lack of decent coffee and fresh buns. How can a charming Italian hotel with a highly recommended restaurant come to terms with not serving fresh coffee in the morning?!? All in all, we had a good stay, but we would not return to this hotel.

My husband and I spent three nights here after having spent some lovely days in Tuscany. First of all I have to say that the room was very nice, with a beautiful (and spacious!) bathroom. We also had a nice terrass of our own with a view of the city.

However, the staff was not very helpful and did not speak much English - they acutally gave us quite the wrong information at one time. The room was full of information (in Italian only) about extra cost for this or that - not very helpful to a foreigner.

We had considered having an evening meal in the restaurant and asked about the meny, but was quite rudely informed that it was "on the wall" - which it was, in Italian only once more, and with no information about price etc. We then decided to eat out - something I was quite glad about when I discovered a cockroach in the dining room next morning.

Breakfast was also not up to standard; elegantly displayed but very little of it. OK, it was stated to be "continental" but I would have preferred less pain au chocolate and biscuits and more real bread.

I will probably not choose this hotel again.

We stayed for one night and ate in the formidable restaurant. The room was very spacious and elegant. We stayed very well with our two children.
The restaurant was fantastic. We could park easily our car in the public parking just in front of the hotel. The hotel is very near to the center (walk distance).
