The Hotel Salera is an older hotel building within the beautiful town and area of Asti. The rooms were fairly large in size with minimal furnishings. The rooms and bed looked and felt old. There is no bathtub, only a very small stand-up shower in the bathroom. The temperature control to the room did nothing. We stayed there in January and the room had a constant chill to it - not cold, just too cool for my tastes. Room lighting was minimal and there was no internet connection and no place to work within the room - unless you want to use the bed. The one nice thing about the room was the complimentary bottle of local wine. The restaurant on the other hand was in complete contrast to the rooms. It was decorated nicely and the food was top notch. The breakfast was a typical continental type with a few extras thrown in. The staff was polite and helpful. Overall, I would suggest staying at an alternate location, but stop by for a good meal.
