OK, the first impression as you enter the hotel is Italian design - lacquered red vases, a couple of huge gongs, dark wood - good, but a few shiny baubles do not make a great hotel make.

Lots of issues:
- Asinine elevator system - I was on the top (17th) floor. The 4 elevators are on 3 different circuits, so you are pushing 3 buttons waiting and then they all arrive at once - and are all equally slow. 3 of the 4 are tiny. VERY frustrating and cramped
- Internet is extortionate - really expensive (€22 for 24 hours for "business" = fast rate). Even at that price it was very unreliable
- No iron. I asked for a iron and was refused as they are "too dangerous". I hung my suit in the bathroom and left the really hot shower running for 20 mins.
- Security was very bad. My key card stopped working (TWICE) and when I asked for a new one for my room, it was given to me - no questions asked. This happened TWICE. I could have mentioned any old room number and got a key.
- Location - although near a big rail interchange, it is still miles away from anything. Area is not nice, no restaurants and lots of building work going on..
- Service - Front desk service was mixed but predominantly bad. I was waiting in line and people just ignored me and served others first.
- TV - OK; I am a computer person and think I understand technology, but a Sky HD box in Italian was completely unfathomable. I am sure there were some other English channels in there somewhere, but I could only get 2 rubbishy news channels.

On the plus side
+ Breakfast was OK
+ Beds were comfortable
+ Metro stop is just a run across a busy street away (there is an underpass that goes from station to hotel entrance. Good luck finding it)

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children.We stayed 1 night at this hotel and had 2 superior rooms.The rooms were nicely decorated,clean,and modern.

I was not looking for a centrally-located hotel in Milan. I just wanted to sleep there and leave the following AM,after breakfast.The price included breakfast but it was very very minimal and of poor quality.

Stayed here for 2 nights in June '11, before heading to lake Como. We were after a reasonably priced 4-star hotel as a base for sightseeing in Milan, and AC Milano fit the bill. We got a good deal on Otel.com so chose this hotel over more centrally located ones, after reading tripadvisor reviews that mentioned the proximity of the metro station. The room itself was very stylish, fitted out in sleek contemporary decor. Service was efficient, if not particularly friendly, as the staff are probably more accustomed to business travellers. Would have expected free wifi, but this was not the case and internet access was expensive. Was also dissapointed with the limited breakfast selection, although not completely unexpected at the price we paid.

I travel regularly on business to Milan and often stay in this hotel. The rooms are modern and clinical. The design is for men - golf ball soaps, large dressing gown and man sized slippers.
The beds are comfortable and pillow selection good.
Room service is expensive with two courses at least €35, free water and juice in the room is a nice touch. Breakfast is average buffet affair - no cooked to order options.
As a tourist I would steer clear and find a more central hotel with more comfort! For business its ok but beware - no soundproofing. You can hear your neighbour go to the bathroom, slam their door and 'entertain' their guest!
