great location , basic breakfast, nice staff, ideal for a couple of nights
value for money

We stayed at this hotel only for one night and we will surely not return there.
We liked:
- Good location - close to the Central Station (10 minutes walk) and to Lima metro station (5 minutes walk);
- Large and spacious rooms;
- Air conditioning;
- Typical Italian breakfast - coffee, juice and croissants.
We did not like:
- Rooms with street view are extremely noisy - you felt like the tram was going through our room – we didn’t get much sleep;
- Our room was very dark (we could not open the blinds) and the light was just not strong enough – it was like a cave;
- Dirty room, with traces of shoes on the walls (do not think has been whitewashed for years), dampness and mold in the bathroom;
- Old shower, with a lot of limestone ;
- The extra pillows and blankets smelled and the towels did not seem very clean, we had no courage to use them;
- We struggled to lock / unlock the door - it had a bad lock and it did not open entirely - we had to sneak with our bags through a small slit.
We were very disappointed. Do not recommend this hotel for anybody.

I can only rate their reservation service which was very efficient. I did not stay at this hotel. I thought it was a different hotel. Retrospectively, it should have been obvious, but this is NOT the "Albergo Salerno" in Salerno.

Hotel is only a few blocks from the bus & train terminal. Extremely easy to get to/from. Metro lines are accessible from terminal so makes it easy to get to the Duomo and other tourist attractions. At night the area seems a little seedy as does the specific street of the hotel. Just watch yourself and it seems ok. Down the street is Istanbul Doner Kebab. Not Italian, but is cheaper and better than MickeyD's if you are looking for a quick bit to eat. Quite tasty I thought. Hotel Rooms are pleasant and clean. Don't expect too much but worth the great price I got. There is AC which is great during the humid summer. Make sure they flip the switch downstairs as they turn it off the power to the AC in your room everytime you leave. There is breakfast which is included which consists of a pastry and a drink. The expresso was delicious. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I figured I would try it. Been craving it ever since. There is a nice patio out back to enjoy your drink. My room turned out to be two small twin sized beds, which was fine. Beds were so-so as far as comfort goes, but did the trick for one night as I was tired from the 20+ hours it takes to get from California to Milan. Staff was friendly and helpful. My stay was short, but would stay here again at the right price.
