On a roadtrip trough Italy this was our first stop in Milano. The hotel seemed very good for a very reasonable price, but it was a little bit different.
On arrival it took forever to check in. The staff behind the desk did not look very skilled. Checking in took 15 minutes, and there was already a 15 minute wait because of a couple checking in before us. Due to this long procedure, there was almost always a line of at least 15 minutes at the desk, and therefore it was not very inviting to go there if you had a problem (only for the big problems). When we checked in, there was one couple getting back in the lobby complaining that their room still was dirty.
I've read that the hotel was an old Holiday Inn hotel, and that was something you could see. It was a very bad maintained high class hotel, with dirty or loose carpets, good but dented furnishing, etc etc. The only thing positive was that the air-co worked very, very good.
The site said they had a shuttle that drove to the metro. Not only did the shuttle not ride on time, it didn't ride at all during our stay. They told us to wait, but it didn't show up. The walk is 10 minutes, but if you do not have a shuttle you shouldn't put a sign up saying so.
We parked our car outside of the hotel. This was a stupid mistake, because the first night our car got broken into (smashed window). This was the moment when we could need some help, but they seemed like they didn't care. Even getting a garbage bag seemed to much effort to help us. Parking costed us a 10 euro per night more, but in that neighbourhood it seems a good choice.
The service was poor, they falsely informed us about the shuttle and wouldn't help us with a room key card that didn't work half the time, this is a worthless hotel. I would advice you not to go there. I would've gladly stayed at a friendly hostel.
