The hotel put us in a double room with black mould growth over the ceiling,walls (and even on the lamps). The whole room smelt of damp, and when we complained we were given a can of air freshener! Due to the damp air we were forced to leave the windows open all night, but even then there were wheelie bins stored directly outside the window. Needless to say we didnt stay to try the free breakfast! After the first night I agreed to pay a 20 Euro cancellation fee for the further two nights booked, and I was assured of a refund for these two nights. They went back on their word and no such refund has been made since I returned to Uk. They ignore my emails. If anyone has any advice on how i can retrieve this money I would appreciate it.

Id stayed at this hotel before & did enjoy the stay hence a re-visit. Now last time it was with the lads on a euro-away & bascially the hotel was a head down after a night on the lash.

This time its was with the missus. I explained that the hotel had a spot of graffiti on the walls, but the rooms were adequate for our stay this time. This time was a kind of euro away as we went to watch Inter Vs AC.

On entering the hotel we were greeted by Wang. A sound bloke who pointed us to our room. The room was medium size with TV & extreme outdated decor. On the last trip the decor wasnt taken into much account. The shower/WC was bascially a 'wet' room. ie Shower wasnt separate from the sink/toilet. For me this wasnt an issue. For the missus it was!!

The bed in the room was a bit squeaky & seemed to slope to one side. Possible cos of the weight balance (i am considerably heavier than my girlfriend!!).

Anyway i wont waffle on anymore. Summary:

Room cleaness - 6/10
Room facilites - 5/10 (TV, Towels, Soap etc)
Hotel location - 8/10 (near Loreto & Pasteur metro) nice n cheap restaurant opp called Moulin Rouge.

Verdict = Good for a lads weekend/euro away/head down/no frills traveller. Please lads dont take your missus........END
