“Perfect location, faultless staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

We stayed here for the weekend to attend a wedding. This hotel was recommended by our friend who lives nearby. The location is perfect for shopping, and for sightseeing (5 stops on the underground to Duomo), or a lovely stroll which took us about an hour, stopping for coffees, and strolled through the park.

Initially we were allocated a room which faces the street, which means you hear the busy traffic, and the sirens of the ambulances (hospital nearby), as a light sleeper, we asked to change our room, and that was done, quickly and without fuss.

The staff, from breakfast waiters, housekeeping, and the front of house were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and caring - faultless.

The ensuite rooms are clean, and nicely decorated. Shower cubicles are a bit on the small side. Great choice for breakfast too - continental, cold cuts, hot food.

Beware of booking a taxi thru the hotel, and have an agreed price. The normal fare from Linate to the location is on average €15, 20 max if traffic is bad. Hotel booked a taxi for us to go back to the airport, and we were charged €35.

Room Tip: If external noise bothers you, ask for a room on the higher floors, or the back ones facing the atri...

“Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

We booked this hotel 4 days before travelling & was good value for money. I booked as it claimed to be 100m from central staion (on booking.com)- this is not true. However its only 2 stops on the bus or metro so very handy. Great location, there was a nice restaurant just over the road on the main street under a canapy- i would definately recommend! The hotel is not what i'd describe as 4 star but rooms were clean & staff were very helpful/friendly. The breakfast was really good- so much to choose from, we had stayed the previous 2 nights in the Radisson Blu & this breakfast was much better.
Would definately recommend- in fact i have to my friend who has booked to stay here in October!

“good hotel but not for 4 star”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

The hotel is located 20 meters from the square Argentina and is easy to detect. Near it there are two Metro stops, supermarket and rezbire is famous Corso Buenos Aires, one of the major shopping streets in Milan. The hotel is clean, well maintained with friendly staff and good breakfast. The furniture in the rooms is standard for each 3-star hotel. There is not anything special at the hotel to justify 4 stars. I made an unpleasant impression of the following facts: * When we arrived the sink was clogged and it was removed on the third day of our 4 day stay in Milan * The location of the third bed / I had booked a triple room with three beds! / Was opposite air conditioning! We were forced my son to transpose, part of the furniture to find an approachout of bed. These are not much bigger trouble and in no case can distort the pleasure of holiday, but its still annoying. Overall I recommend hotel for short stay and surely you will not be disappointed. These are both due to the fact that not give him high praise.

“This is not a 4 star hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

We booked this hotel for the first night of our honeymoon through InItalia.it requesting a deluxe room. When we arrived we were very disappointed as the room was clearly just a standard double room, very basic. The bathroom was very small and the shower cabinet was tiny. We were told that there were no other rooms available. As it was only for one night we decided to stay as it was too late to organise anything else. The room was noisy with traffic as it was close to a large road junction which we had not expected. The breakfast was very poor with orange squash rather than fresh and Nescafe machine coffee which was awful; not what you expect in Italy! There was a very basic selection of bread rolls, croissants, plastic cheese and cheap ham. All in all, very far from four star standards.
