This hotel was absolutely fine. Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Staff very pleasant. A bit out of the way unless you enjoy a good 20 mins walk to the metro. Enjoyed.

Staying in Europe for some time required a definate trip to italy and with Milan being an affordable destination it was a sure bet. I was so unaware of where to stay I opted to go for an affordable place with good enough reviews. I paid less than 80 canadian dollars and definately recommend that you pay more for a better location. This hotel is very chic with amazing decor however is REALLY far from the center of it all it is located in the suburbs in a very industrial region, there is an Armani or Dolce Gabanna manufacturer right next door. It was a good 15 minute walk to the metro and good thing a sweet italian man somewhat understood my rendition of a studio tower and guided us in the right direction. There is a shuttle that will take you to the metro, I suggest calling when you get out the Metro to come get you. Although it was nice to be somewhat close to a metro it was really dissapointing to have to be running to catch the last metro at night as it was really far to have to pay for a taxi. There is a Spar (little grocery store) with great deals on little snacks right outside the metro. The breakfast was pretty good, the usual, boiled egg, canned peaches, yogurt, cereal... but there arent many restaurants nearby, there was a small little bar that served pizza. If you are on a tight budget but long on time.. or perhaps have a car.. then I would suggest this ulta chic hotel, but if you are looking for some intense italian experiences without having to gaze at your watch then try something else.

recently stayed at the Studios Hotel in Milan on the 2nd and 4th of February. Unfortunately this email is not a positive one. On the first night we got a twin room although we had asked for a double which was then rearranged for us. The following morning i spoke to the receptionist and stated that we would be back on the Sunday night and was the double bed available for that night that we had booked. He said it was.

When we arrived on the Sunday night, we had to wait at least twenty minutes to be dealt with as two women were having difficulties ahead of us. When we eventually got seen to, we were again given another twin room. We went back to the receptionist to again ask for a double bed and it was another fifteen minutes before we were given a key to a double bedroom that was a smoking room
(not requested) and the bed was not even made. After a further fifteen minutes at least we eventually got a room that was clean and was a double bedroom. It was almost an hour in total and we were not apologised to once and no reimbursement was offered.

The hotel is comfortable but is quite a way from the centre of Milan. It is situated in an industrial estate and there are no facilities nearby such as restaurants or shops etc that you can easily walk to. The Metro is about a 10 minute walk, and although there is a free shuttle bus that the hotel lays on that runs every half an hour, it doesn't run all day so you have to choose your times. Breakfast is okay for the money we paid so can't quibble, but at the full rate i would expect more. The staff apart from a couple of very nice people were not particularly friendly, but Ivano the barman makes up for this. The restaurant food was very good and the room facilities good, although there was no hot water one morning. Okay for me but not for someone who does not like a cold shower. Although it sounds pretty negative i think it's mainly because of where the hotel is situated an dthe lack of freindly staff is perhaps down to language problems as the older staff were more friendly than the younger ones. Milan though is a nice city but expensive to eat and drink if you are travelling on a budget.
