It is a bit too far from downtown ,although close to Famagosta subway station (150m)
But still the location is not an advantage, very noisy street , and nothing interesting in the area,not even one decent restaurant.
The rooms need remodelling. Guy at the receprion is not very helpfull , i liked the girls serving coffee during breakfast -they were at least making some effort at being polite.

Ok so first off go to venere.com if you want to stay at this hotel as they have the best prices and if you search the net you will find discount codes to take off an additional 4%. The hotel is near Famagosta Metro station, somewhat in the middle of the urban area of Milan but when you're paying around €60 in Milan for a double room in a 3 star hotel it is hard to do much better. The hotel is clean, and well kept. The rooms aren't the most spacious but had a nice marble bathroom (well mine did, room 31) and each room has a balcony. Bearing in mind that the hotel is on a main road the rooms are well sound proofed, with the air-con on and the windows closed you can't hear it, and at night the road is quiet. There is not much near by so be prepared to take the metro to find some life in the town, 3 stops and you are already nearing the centre. The breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about, but the service from the people at the desk was great. Overall for the cost conscious you can't go far wrong, considering you're saving easily €50 a night by not being in the centre and that it costs €1 to get there.

This hotel was a bargain find online & for what we paid it was a steal! The room was very clean & comfy & with the shutters it made it quiet & dark. The staff here were amazing they spoke really good english and were oh so helpful! They were all pleasant & went out of their way to help with maps & directions etc. The bar there is tiny so if there is a few of you you cant really drink there, its also expensive. There is a bowling alley nearby though with a slightly bigger bar. The hotel isnt that near the city but it is next to a tube station which only costs 1 Euro each journey no matter how long. I wouldnt want to walk around the area at night alone as its very dark with graffiti everywhere. However the breakfast was fine & for what you get for your money the hotel is fab!

Used the hotel in October 2007 on a shopping trip to Milan.

Its proximity to Famagosta metropolitana station made travel to the Montepoleone area the essence of simplicity.

Breakfasts were excellent, our room was clean and the bathroom spacious.

Marginal downside in inclement weather might be the walk to restaurants situated in Piazza Miani some 800 meters from the hotel.

Reception advised us of this on arrival and we opted to eat dinner in the Navigli district which was a short cab ride away.

WORD OF WARNING - Do not be tempted to use the Blue Diamond restaurant which is relatively close to the hotel - we tried and abandoned it after the pasta - BE WARNED.

Overall an excellent value hotel and we would not hesitate to use it again.
