Bad points about this hotel (and there is alot of them!!)
This hotel was quite far away from all of the main sites and seems to be in a bit of a dodgy area. Fortunately metros in Milan are reliable and cheap. The staff were ok, none spoke any English so couldn't really communicate with them. Breakfast was very overpriced 13euro for very basic continental.
Another problem was that the air-conditioning was very loud and went on and off throughout the night meaning we had a very bad nights sleep. The road next to the hotel was very loud as well.
Good points:
Good siize room, powerful shower. Clean towels every day and mini fridge full and not over- priced. You can get a decent cup of coffee for a few euros and there is a nice little area to sit outside.
If this hotel was cheaper then we wouldn't have minded these defaults but I felt like it was extremely overpriced especially considering the location it was in.
Milan however is a beautiful city and reasonably priced, there is a gorgeous park and lots of lively bars near by it that you can get apertivi. However watch out for the con men that hang out near the duomo! They grab your hand and before you know it you have pigeon seeds in your hands and you are covered in pigeons!! If you have more than a few days try to catch a train to lake como, it is stunning, and really different!
