Having read the previous reviews on here, but already purchased the hotel, to say I was a bit aprehensive of the hotel is an understatement.
We went last weekend for the Milan football derby.
On arrival at the railway station we turned right out of the exit and 400 yards later we were walking into the foyer of the hotel. It couldnt be easier to find.
We were early for check in and our rooms werent ready, but the staff were more than willing to help with our luggage. We didnt have any tickets for the football match and again they helped by telling us where to go for some.
On our return check in was simple and when we got to the rooms we were expecting the worst.
In fact the rooms were very clean and had ample space. Granted it wasnt four star but it was definately more than 2 star!
The mini bar was amply stocked and also at a reasonable price by Milan standards.
We didnt have breakfast in the hotel.
The free wi fi was a godsend.
All the staff were pleasant throughout our stay and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again if I returned to Milan.
On the comments previous about a dodgy area, we didnt experience anything. Granted the people in the area on the streets were immigrants but they didnt give us any problems and its no different to any other railway station area anywhere else in the world.
Also a special plug for a small kebab shop just to the right of the hotel when you walk out the doors. Late night food and cheap drink and the Turkish staff make you very welcome ( we actually stayed for 2 hours).
