I was nervous after seeing previous reviews, but The Gray turned out to be nicely presented and comfortable.
The design is great, the rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and there were some lovely little touches, like the mixed plate of chocolates and fruit we received in the evening, or the truly amazing showers (see pictures!)
For me there were two downsides - the first was that the gym is actually in a nearby related hotel and is not at all comfortable, and the second is value for money. It was nice, but I'm not sure nice enough to justify the high rates.
Overall a much better stay than you might expect from the ratings, but next time I'll still try the Spadari first!
