“Great Location. Great Room. Disappointing Staff.”
We stayed in Hotel Tiziano for 2 nights during our Honeymoon.
Location & Surrounding Safety:
It is literally just across a small street from the Metro Station. Only 1 minute walking. The surrounding area is very nice and quiet; looks like a peaceful residential district. There are some restaurants and a convenient store nearby. But noted that convenient stores all close before 8:30pm in Milan.
Room & Bathroom:
The room is spacious! It's the biggest room we've ever had in Europe. We're also impressed by it's decor, which is sleek and contemporary. The only complaint I have for the room is the linen, which is very uncomfortable. It feels hard on the skin, probably because of the thread-count. The bathroom is nice-sized as well; it comes with all the basics and hair dryer. The room and bathroom are overall very clean and comfortable (except for the linen).
Elevator:
There are 2 elevators in the hotel. Both in working condition when we got there, but one of them was out of order when we left.
Noise Level:
The area is very quiet. Noise level is minimal. We didn't hear anyone talking on the hallway; not sure if it's because of the sound-proof walls or there're just nobody talking on the hallway during our stay.
English Ability & Service:
We had dealings with 3 different front desk personnel during our stay. It was a blonde young guy when we checked in. Although he was not exactly the friendliest staff, his English is good. There was a black-haired young guy during our second day there, and he's extremely friendly and helpful. He also has good English proficiency. He's willing to go extra mile to give us tips on where to go and what to do. It was an older guy with few hair when we checked out on the last day. This man is the reason i gave Hotel Tiziano a 3 star instead of 4. He simply does NOT speak any English. Besides his lack of English communication skills, he's being very rude to us. Whatever we asked him, "Can you check our balance?", "Can we have the receipt?", "Can you put that on our credit card?", the ONLY ANSWER we got from him was "NO!". It made us wonder if that's the only English word he knew. He kept blasting us with Italian, and when we said (in a sarcastic way) "SORRY, but we really don't understand what you're talking about." He answered us "OK. It's OK." Since our taxi was waiting outside and we're running behind schedule, we just needed to leave in confusion.
Wireless Internet:
They do offer FREE WiFi, and the connection speed is nice.
Restaurant:
We didn't get to try their breakfast.
