“Don't stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

we are two couples and stayed here October 18th. Only one member of staff spoke English, but tried to be helpful. Showers are impossibly tiny. Breakfast was an insult, day old rolls and barely enough for number of guests. Breakfast room so small you could barely sit at a table. No lounge. Only thing going for it was its location. Easy walking to a Metro station and most tourist sights. Very good restaurant on the same block.

“Not good, not bad”

Good - The staff spoke little English but did everythng they could to help us in any way possible. The location was excellent - right in the heart of historic Milan. Metro, tours, food one block away. The rooms aren't fancy but clean and well maintained.

Bad - Noise from the street early in the morning. It is a small narrow street but the garbage and recyling trucks came down it between 6 - 7 a.m.

“Look for another one...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2010

I´ve been in 4 hotels in Italy during November, and this one was the more expensive and the worse. The lights into the room are like an Irish Pub, very dark. It´s impossible to get a shower if you more than 50 cm of width. There´s no frigobar and you must pay for internet (no wireless). Our room (nº 103) is close to the reception, so if you get this one you´ll listen the telephone ringing all over the nigth. However, it´s very close to the Sforcesco Castle, subway, Duomo and Vittorio Emanuelle Gallery, so it´s your choice...

This site warned me but I thought Frommer would have a better idea of a good hotel. I stayed one night and left. I wouldn't stay here again if it were free.

“bad choice for anything other than location”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2008

This was our last night after a 2 week trip, and we booked this hotel due to Frommers' review - the only almost reasonably priced rooms available in the Brera area. Suffice to say the place was a dump!! The room was very shabby, the decor was ancient Salvation Army style, the bathroom was so dirty and the shower stall so moldy that we refused to use it. To call it "spacious" would be true only if comparing it to the inside of a small closet! The desk clerk couldn't or wouldn't do anything to change our room or make accommodations. And the plug for the telephone would only stay "in" if I wedged it, so we ended up staying awake all night in order not to miss an early morning wake-up call to catch our 4:45 am cab to Malpensa for our flights home. and the price was equally ridiculuos. We've staying in Milan before but were never ripped off as badly as this. Anyone who stays here needs to be warned that this is a VERY bad place and not worth near the price. Proximity to Brera and other surrounding areas is not sufficient to make it ever worth staying here.
