“Be careful with booking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2011

I visited this hotel once before and it was quite OK (regular 3 star hotel) with perfect location. But this time even though I made reservation 3 months before my arrival, they didn't have the room for me! The staff just tell me this after my arrival late evening and moved me to another hotel, hotel ADAM, which is close to Agape hotel (rated as 4 star!!??).
I recommend you to NEVER AGREE with this hotel change! You can read the hotel Adam reviews.... My room was smelling very bad, the walls were mouldy, the bathroom was dirty and rusty. And there was horrible cold during the nigth. I had to pay 99,-eur for 1 night stay (compare with 129,-eur in Agape hotel).
Agape hotel itself is just fine but I really don't understand this approach to their guests.

“Taking the downtrend”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2010

I have visited this hotel in numerous occasions for the last 4 years and what i get is that there is lack of getting better. It is actually getting worst by visit. The staff at reception is the same but they lack of smile and friendliness. I will agree with previous guests they dont really bother for guests and they just passing their time. Breakfast staff even though they are working hard and they are efficient, smile is not an option for them. Other than that, the situation of the rooms is staying the same with not a single touch of maintenance or upgrade. Breakfast of good quality and location is really good accessible by metro.

“Agape--Convenient, Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

Stayed there Tuesday, Sept 21 2010. 3 people, married couple & traveling companion. 3 beds as requested. 109 Euros (about $146).Great bathroom & linens. Nice reception lobby.Clerk at desk was not particularly friendly--don't they call this a hospitality industry?--but she answered our questions in English quite well.Convenient to Metro (when leaving, take the exit to the right, otherwise you end up in a parking lot across a busy street). When you surface, walk a few yards to the cross street, & turn right (twice). Free TV but no English channels. Breakfast (included in the price) starts at 7 a.m. so if you have to leave to catch a plane much before this, it won't work. The breakfast lady was there by 6:30 and by 6:45 she allowed us "in" to grab some juice, coffee, fruit and yogurt. I would definitely return.Elevator. AC. Convenient Metro line to Caldona station to pick up the Malpensa Express train to the airport. We were looking for a nice place to lay our heads (and visit Milan 1 last time before flying home.) 1 free computer to use for internet.

“Lack of cleanliness would keep me from coming back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2009

Coming to this hotel from a 2 star hotel in Rome was a shock. I expected a step up, and received a step down. The Lobby is nice but the room we had was very worn. This hotel seemed to spend more money on monogramed sheets and pillow cases than on making sure the bathroom tile is clean - there is mold all over the grout and some tiles are broken. The shower/tub was small and difficult to use without getting water all over. There is also a strange smell in the bathroom and elevator. We asked for a lightbulb for one of the light fixtures in the room and couldn't understand the answer. This is not a hotel I would return to.

“Great deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2009

Easily accessible from the metro and convenient to historic center. Larger than usual room for Italy with double doors between bedroom and hallway. GREAT AIR CONDITIONING and beautiful bathroom with marble walls. Standard breakfast items with yogurt, bread, cheese, and fruit. Free computer available. We arrived Sunday morning and were able to park for free on the street. Though I kept my eyes open while walking to and from the metro stop, made that journey several times without incident. I felt more preyed upon at the Duomo metro stop! Great deal for $67 U.S.
