My wife and I stayed here for one night in Jan of 2012 as recommended by the Rick Steve's Italy travel book. As it was the off-season, we got the room for only 80 Euro. The mattress was pretty firm and the lighting was pretty minimal, but it was spotless, it was quiet, there was a little balcony to step out on, and the stall shower had never ending hot water. At 0700 a continental breakfast with bread, croissant, two kinds of juice, good coffees per your order, yoghurt, corn flakes, and milk. No fruit.
This hotel is literally 200 yards from the train station which is awesome for catching your early departure.
Ccity sights are doable from here. We walked from the hotel to see da Vinci's Last Supper and to the Duomo. We would stay here again. There was free wi fi.
