“The best part was the breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2010

Would have to be one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. Paper thin walls.Could clearly hear the people in the rooms next door talking and playhing music.. Could hear toilets flushing and water running from other rooms. Single beds when requested a doiuble bed, one of the bed covers had holes in it. Room was not very clean. No tea and coffee making, had to pay 2.5 euro for one form the bar.. There was a sign in the room stating if you used anything out of the mini bar and there was two of you the charge would be double. The breakfast however was very good.

“Great value hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2010

I travelled to Milan with my 18 month old daughter, on route to Slovakia, as I wanted to visit the new Abercrombie and Fitch store that has recently opened. I have been to Milan before so only wanted to stay for one night, and chose a hotel near to Central Station, which woud make carrying luggage and pushing a pram a bit easier if I didn;t have to negotiate the underground. I wasnt disappointed, the hotel is literally 2 mins away. I checked in and questioned the receptionist whether there was a crib in the room - he looked blankly at me until I pointed to my daughter. He made a few calls and said that a porter would be up shortly with one. On my way out to get some dinner, he informed me that they could only get a cot at 9pm, which was fine as I wasn't going to be back until after then anyway. On my return, the receptionist apologised profusely but they were unable to provide a cot, he therefore offered us a larger room with 3 beds instead of 2. This room was slightly more modern decor than the previous one and was larger. The breakfast was great, large selection of pastries, yoghurts and cereals. I would highly recommend this hotel for people looking for a location close to the station for ease of access to the rest of Milan. I did walk to the Duomo in the morning, which took me about 40 mins, although I did stroll and look at various shop windows on route. The hotel staff I met were extremely friendly and the hotel was very clean.

“Good value, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2009

The location is good, near the central station, even though most activities in Milan are not near the central station. But the metro in Milan is easy and convenient. Good price, even included breakfast. Breakfast was basic, but decent. Room was clean, staff friendly.

“Close to the Central train station, Convenient location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 May 2009

We booked a triple room through 1800hotels.com at a good price for 1 night ($128). After arriving by train, just go straight pass the McDonalds and turn left when you see the pharmacy. We arrived there at 2:45pm and were told our room would not be ready for another hour. Their website states that check in is at noon. The receptionist did not apologize but just handed us some tags to fill out and attached to our luggage so that they can store them for us. It was a hot day and we were looking forward to freshening up after a long train trip in which the train was 45 minutes delayed, thus, we were not pleased with the hotel. The room when we finally did check in was pretty much like the pictures on their website. My bed was fine but the other two beds were lumpy and you can hear the springs. The bathroom had two sinks but taking a shower was strange. My sister had no hot water when she was the first to shower. I got some warm water, while the last to shower had hot water. Breakfast started at 7 am and consisted of cereal, breads, croissants, pastries, yogurt and beverages (juice, coffee, tea). Near by on the same street is a general merchandise store that sold 1.5 lt cold bottled water for 1 euro. I would only stay here again if the price was right.
