“MODERN ELEGANT AND WITH GREAT STUFF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

The friendliness of the stuff was characteristic. The guy in the reception understood that we were from Greece and tried to say all the words he knew in our language! We loved the modern and elegant decoration of the room that was a little bit small and also the breakfast area was awesome. I think that we will be back to this hotel and this is something that you do not say very often...
Moreover, it is situated very centrally and you can go easily wherever you want in the city.

Room Tip: Ask for the renovated area of the hotel!!!

“Be careful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

Location is OK, near the metro and Central Station. That is the only good thing.

Staff is not friendly and too tired. Do not ask second cup of coffee or tea, as you need to pay extra for that. The walls of the room are tinny, so you can hear everything what is happening in the room s of your neighbours, even when and how they are taking bath or toilet. SO, be careful. Plus be ready that bathroom is too small.

“Saying "unfriendly" is too kind”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

We booked a double room for one night at a well known hotel booking website. For our surprise, the guy at the reception desk was not kind at all. Not even the usual "buongiorno" of the always kind italian people.
He gave us the key as if it was not his business, and our surprise increased when whe saw only one single bed in the (very small) room. I went down to say we had booked a double, and the (unpleasant) guy at the desk said: "È il letto francese, che noi offriamo como doppia", that means "It's the french bed that we offer as a double". No need to say that they did not mention that anywhere before. He added: "la prendi o la lascia" (take it or leave it). I was really angry, not for the bed, but for the unacceptable attitude (as I insisted that we had booked a double, he insisted that it was not his problem, and that I had to decide on taking or leaving the room "offered").
There are many hotels in the neighborhood, so we decided to leave it: It was not a matter of price. It was average-priced for a double at a three-stars hotel but really expensive to be a single. We found a more expensive but lovely hotel very close, so no regrets. I would never-ever go back to that place.

“Perfect value for money”

Spent here a week with my mom.We had standard double room on the 3rd floor.
It was my firs time in Milan and I spent hours reading reviews before I finally decided to stop on this hotel and I never regret it.
Location:Its 15-20 minutes walk from Central Station.I didn't even needed to take a taxi.
The Hotel is only 2 minutes walk from Piazza della Repubblica metro station and other public transport.
Room:clean, well equipped, the beds were good. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood so we got good nights sleep.
Have no complaint with the bathroom,it was clean with everything you need:hairdryer, toiletries, etc
Breakfast:Starts at 7am to 9:30am.Nice breakfast included coffee,tea,water, yogurts,cheese, croissants, fruits(bananas,apples,plums,tangerines), jams,cornflakes & milk,boiled eggs.etc Loved it,
Staff:Friendly and helpful.
I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it!Especially for the price you pay this hotel is definitely worth it.

“Not that great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel 2 weeks ago. I was 10-15 minute walk away from the centre of milan and the train station was at the top of the road quite near for anyone requiring it. I have to agree with Volendam review guy on the desk with dark black wasnt overly helpful or interested really, when another guest was asking him about the aircon and english tv channels he didnt know anything. There was however a different grey haired man on reception when we were leaving and found him pleasent. We had an older room that wasnt renovated, very small with a view of the aircon out the back and middle of hotel where all the rooms look onto eachother so no view at all. The thing that disturbed me most was the shower head and I'm sorry that I never took a picture of it. It was dirty and full of limescale to the point where I didnt want to use it. You had to stop the water every few minutes as the shower tray would fill up, very bad drainage. The breakfast was simple, crossaints, breads, meats, fruit, cereal and yogurts, do not expect any fry ups or bacon butties here. The bar/restaurant was to the right of the reception as you walked in but during breakfast time it spilled out into the waiting area so anyone coming in and out of the hotel could see you. Might not bother some people but I didnt like the fact it came so far out to an area that would normally just be used as a lounge. There are a couple of restaurants around the hotel although we did not visit the one right beside it I'm not sure if this was part of the hotel itself. Wasnt the worst I have been nor the best. The room was clean the bed linen were clean it was just the shower that put me off. Like I said we didnt have a renovated room so they could be much better. Not sure if its somewhere I would book again.

Room Tip: Pay for the renovated ones.
