I spent a couple of nights in this hotel, it was a pleasant experience.

The hotel is located near the centre of Milan. For those unfamiliar with the city, it is near via Paolo Sarpi. I read in a number of reviews this are labelled as "China Town", however readers should know that this is a relatively good and safe area in Milan. There is a populous Chinese community settled there, but this shouldn't deter anyone from choosing to stay here as this area is very convenient for most leisure and business requirements (near Garibaldi and Central Station, near the Fiera, and close to the hart of the city.

True you find graffiti here and there and some corners aren't great but, alas, this is Milan!

As per the hotel itself, it's all clean and well furnished, with a reasonably priced underground parking that has direct access to the hotel - in other words you don't have to go outside the premises to get your car. The room we had was spacious and clean - however this is where the hotel loses one extra rating point: the air conditioning was noisy. Not a problem in December but it definitely needs a fix.

The breakfast is one of the strong points: the breakfast area is clean, pleasant, with good and fresh products to accommodate all tastes. To give an example, the choice ranges from the usual English breakfast to persimmons, baked apples (with oranges and cinnamon, yummy), to yogurt and freshly squeezed juices.

There would be more to write but in short this is a hotel that I would recommend and that I will definitely use again in the future.

This is a solid, very well run hotel. Parking inside, great breakfast, nice rooms. And you can choose to eat in the inner restaurant, one of the best fish restaurants in town, or just cross the street and have a fabulous meat treat at Al Vecchio Porco (check my review). The lobby gives you also the chance to seat properly and host a business meeting.

2 nights on business room facing the back "yard". Very nice room, comfortable bed, quiet and clean. The location for me was fine as it was a short taxi drive from my meetings. If a tourist then a bit "off track" but still would consider based on value. Paid Internet was very slow- so I need to go to lobby to really enjoy a decent speed. A short taxi ride to Cadorna train station which is also a plus to people flying from Malpensa airport. Good breakfast.

I had a great stay at the Hermitage.
The area around the hotel has a very cosmopolitan feel and I personally never felt unsafe walking around the area.
The hotel has a very grand lobby area, I received a warm welcome and was quickly checked in.
My room room was immaculate and very comfortable with a very large marble bathroom.
It also had a seating area with sofa and coffee table and was more like a junior suite.
I liked the mix of classic decoration with lovely plush fabrics with modern conveniences in the room.
The breakfast was great with a large selection of quality produce available.
The service from all the hotel staff was great.
I hope to return to Milan with my wife in the future, and would definitely stay at the Hermitage again.
