When we arrived in Milan we were tired and hot from the train trip and the walk to the hotel, so the warm welcome we received at Hotel Berna was very much appreciated. We were told that our room had been upgraded. It was a very nice room - quite large and spacious with a huge bathroom with soaker tub. The mini-bar was full of non-alchoholic beverages that were free of charge - a huge plus when travelling since it's not uncommon to be desperate enough to pay 3 euros for a bottle of water when you're out and about. Nice to be able to bring a bottle with you instead! We were there for 3 nights and the mini bar was filled every day - just a very nice perk. Service at the front desk was amazing! Everyone who works at this hotel is incredible friendly and helpful. Honestly the outside of the hotel doesn't look like much but inside it's quite nice and you really feel like a valued guest. The breakfast - I don't even know where to start. They have everything you could possibly want to eat and the breakfast room staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was an event at Hotel Berna. We could not have asked for more variety and the quality of the food was fantastic. I had the best chocolate croissants of my life there. They were so fresh they were still warm. Fresh eggs, cheeses, cold cuts, assortment of juices, various pastries, breads, even some heartier savoury dishes for those so inclined. I am not sure how they do it! Honestly we really didn't like the city of Milan very much but I would almost be tempted to go back just to stay at this hotel!

We found the Hotel Berna to be an excellent hotel offering that personal touch. Very good value for money and a few metres away from the central train station. Staff is simply great and we will definitely stay there again the next time we will be in Milan.

Convenient to Milano Centrale,very pleasant helpful staff, good room with nice touches like complimentary biscuits and drinks fridge, outstanding breakfast. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Located near the railway station, the room was clean and tidy, great value for money. Breakfast was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. All in all a I have no hesitation in recomending this hotel.
