“Not a bad hotel but unproperly managed, pitty..”

PROs
Very good located, 5 minutes walk from central railway station and all-kind-of transportation.
We booked a double room and they gave us a a flat (bathroom plus two rooms) on the upperfloor, as requested.
Rooms are big enough, clean and practical but we are talking about good mantained furniture from the 70s...
The bathroom was the best part.
The hotel looks fine although is very hard to define value for money as long as the internet alone is cca. 20 euros/day !!!!!
The guy at the reception really impressed me, he was very proffesional concerning what he had to deal with (see below).

CONs
First, very cold in the room, like there was no heating at all! But it was and everybody could hear it from 2 block away - that noisy - it just did not provide heat. It is a wonder we did not catch any cold. I dont mean icy, but when you pay 53 euro for 5 hours stay the heating is the least that they could think of, concerning the cold in Europe these days.

Then the booking system and their related-staff:
We booked through booking.com and there was some misunderstanding with my card so i decided i call personally to clear things up. Ok. Just to make sure that they understand that we will have a very late check-in, i called again the day after. Ok again. Then this guy Massimo called my wife after a few hours and started shouting in an extremely rude way, pretending all kind of personal data (???) and using a very not-customer-service language, claiming we have no more reservation but money will be paid. No shhh?! He got really lucky he was off duty when we arrived... His colegue at the reception did all the work for apologies and because of him we have accepted them.

But stay again here? No f way!

“Great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The taxi drivers all know it. Staff were really helpful with 24 hour manned reception.
There is a little bar on the ground floor with a business centre that you can pay to use. Wi fi is charged at this hotel.
The rooms were basic but clean.
Central station is about 10 minutes walk away and lots of bars and restaurants nearby.
There was a power cut in my room 2 nights consecutively but the maintenance staff were very quick.
Not a hotel for luxury but for central location and safe all hours within budget,it's an ok place to stay.

“DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2011

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER!!!!! That is no one positive point about this place!!!!!! Negatives points: The staff is unbelievable rude, they don’t speak English, the room smelled funky, the breakfast and the Wifi are not included (it will cost you 19 Euros per day of use). It was the worst stay in a hotel of my life!!! It was very cold at night when I discovery that the healing system of the hotel shut itself of twice a day, between 12pm and 6am, and then again, from 1pm to 5 45 pm. According to the staff this was normal, and I sad that I was so cold that I couldn’t fall sleep, and they simply hang up on me. That hotel does not care at all for their guest, they just want to take your money, and in exchange, give you a terrible cold room. No money is worth saving if you make the decision to stay at that horrible place!!!!!

Room Tip: Do not stay at this hotel ever!!!

“WORST EVER -Gives Italy and Milan a bad name”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

This place was absolutely horrible. I stayed here with my partner and the reservation was made by someone else so I guess we had no way of knowing.... The room was disgusting as if it were some type of 'skid row flop house' I never slept on the sheets but instead slept on top of the bed using a blanket which I only hoped was clean. We had a double and the room was dark because there was a cover over the window which would not open so it was like being a in a room with no window at all. The bathroom had not been updated in at least 50 years( I am not exaggerating) The tile in the bathtub/shower was actually painted pink to cover whatever must have been mildew or blemishes? They post that breakfast is served each morning and never mentioned until check out that the cost of breakfast was not part of the room charge. It was a bit of a shock although only 9 euros it was not worth it at all since it consisted of cold cereal and a few pastries and coffee. Orange juice was considered extra?? There was one woman in particular who worked the front desk who obviously despised either Americans, people of color or Gays... Not sure which since we fall into all three categories. In any event if i had know how bad this place was and that there was a Westin so close by I would have just forgone the reservation made for my partner and instead opted for the standard which one would expect. I know what to expect from a less than 4 or 5 star but this was not a 3 star hotel by any stretch. this was just dirty and horrible! By the way.. The pictures posted of this hotel had to be taken some time ago since it looks nothing like this today.

I can only hope that enough people will post that this place goes out of business!

Room Tip: Select another hotel PLEASE!
