Nothing special, just a small city hotel placed near the center of Milan. Small rooms and bed ,quite crowded on weekends but at least it is just a 15mins walk to the Duomo and the center of Milan.
The breakfast buffet was fairly good and the personnel did their best to help as much as they could.

Spent 2 nights there and can't say i'm happy with the hotel. Rooms are extremely small, dirty carpets and blankets, tobacco smell in the corridors and they don't have free wifi! even in the lobby bar! lan connection in my room was not free as well! i didn't expect such hotels to exist in cities like Milano. yes and location was ok too, not only staff.

I have been in hundreds of hotels and don't take the time to come on tripadvisor and complain, this is only my second review! However, when checking into this hotel the man was rather arrogant and unhelpful, from the first minute. And then the woman was the same when we were checking out. We were forced to pay a €10 fee for a movie we watched, but we never even turned on the TV once? €1 or €1000 is not relevant, I just don't like being robbed! Three staff members here are incredibily rude...
Other info: The location is ok, nothing special. The breakfast is perfect - 100%. The rooms are tiny. The bed has only one blanket which is impossible to wash everyday. The room was not clean, echoes when you talk and you can listen to every person talking in other rooms. Corridors smell of cigarettes. The white shower tiles were half brown! I had allergies from the moment I walked into the room, and two days later im on antibiotics for a heavy chest infection.

The amount of people who complain about rubbish on tripadvisor is ridiculous and have too much time on their heands. But I felt it was necessary and the need to post this.

I originally confirmed the Idea Hotel at centrale, however upon checking in they told me they were overbooked and I had to go to this Idea hotel at Genova instead.

I am glad I did coz the staff were more professional than those at centrale station ( the staff at centrale station were very rude !) The staff at this idea hotel knew we were upset about the change in hotel and they were nice enough to upgrade me to a superior room for the same price. They even gave me complimentary Internet access for an hour...nice gesture .

Breakfast was great. Room was clean. Only cons about this hotel is the location. Though it's 20mins walk to duomo, it's quite difficult to find a decent restaurant nearby.

However we were glad to have stayed here.
